Watch out for ghosting affiliate managers, had a bad run

anyone else dealt with affiliate managers who just disappear after you sign up? like they reply for a day or two then ghost forever. i had this happen last week with a promising CPA network, got all my docs in, set up my first campaign and then total radio silence. no payout, no reply, just ghosted. warning to stay cautious if they're slow to respond or dodge your follow ups. some of these guys are just fishing for info and vanish. show me the numbers on your network experiences, this ghosting is a real pain.

Yep, had my fair share of that. Feels like playing hide and seek but nobody wins. Sometimes it's just a sign to move on and find managers who actually stick around. SMH, the whole ghosting game is lame but what does the data say about networks that actually deliver?

Oh yeah, ghosting is basically the new affiliate sport. They sign you up, get your docs, then vanish like you just sent them a blank email. Shows you how much they care about your EPC or your lander conversions. Most of these networks are just fishing for info, and if you bite the bait, poof they disappear. Bottom line, if they dodge your follow ups faster than a lander loading time, move on.

I get the frustration with ghosting but I think some of this is a bit blown out of proportion. Yeah, it's annoying when a manager goes dark after you've done all the work, but let's be real, sometimes it's just the nature of the beast. Maybe they're swamped, maybe their inbox is a mess, or maybe they're waiting to see if you actually push through with some results before they invest more time. It's not always a sign of shady practices, just bad communication habits. What I've learned over the years is that you don't rely on one network or manager. You spread your bets, keep multiple deals cooking, and build relationships with people who actually respond. Sure, ghosting sucks and it's a pain in the ass, but it's part of the game. The real test is how fast you adapt and how many options you have lined up. If a network or manager disappears, move on fast. The industry is full of guys who stick around, so why chase after the ones who vanish? The data I've seen shows those who diversify and keep their options open tend to have more stable flows, even when some players go dark for a bit.

Playing hide and seek with affiliate managers is pretty much the norm these days... but it does highlight how fragile the trust can be. When they vanish after all the effort you put in, it's like pouring into a black hole. I've seen networks that have decent front-end offers but behind the scenes, their back-end support is ghost town. It's a game of chicken sometimes, waiting for that reply that never comes. And let's not forget how it affects your LTV and churn rates when you can't get the support you need. Makes you wonder if they're really serious or just fishing for quick info and then ghosting. Not a good look when you're trying to scale a campaign without falling into the churn trap.

But isn't it more about you building the asset so they have to stick around rather than chasing ghosted managers who might just be busy or overwhelmed rather than malicious?

Let's pull back the curtain on that. Most of the time, those networks that sign you up and vanish are just fishing for info or testing your persistence.

If they're not sticking around after you put in the effort, it's a red flag. Better to focus on networks with transparent postback tracking and real support. Ghosting is a pain but also a sign to move on to more reliable players.

been there, burned that budget chasing ghosted managers. Sometimes they're just overwhelmed or fishing for info, but it's a huge red flag. If they vanish after you jump through hoops, better to cut bait and find a network that actually sticks around. In my experience, the ones who are legit tend to stay engaged or at least give a heads up when they're swamped. No point in wasting time chasing shadows.

Trust me on this one, halo but sometimes even if u build a solid asset, if the network ghosted u before payout, u got rekt. Ur asset don't mean shit if they vanish before u see the cash. Ur asset can be there but if they don't pay or respond, it's a red flag either way.

Building the asset is important, but relying on that alone to keep a network from ghosting is naive. Been there, burned that budget trying to convince these guys to stick around after I put in work. Ghosting is a red flag no matter how busy they say they are. If they vanish before payout, it's not just overwhelmed, it's a sign they might be fishing for info or just stringing you along. I've seen networks go dark after a couple of conversions just to avoid payouts. You gotta keep your guard up and find partners who respect your hustle from the start. Building a good LP and having direct lines is what keeps the momentum, not just hoping they'll respond once you've built a 'asset'. Trust me, in this game, the ones who ghost are usually the ones you don't wanna waste time on.

So let me get this straight, you think ghosting is just part of the game? Back in my day, if you signed a contract you actually got paid. Now it's all "they're busy" or "testing your persistence" as if we're all just impatient kids waiting for candy.

yo ghosting is the worst but honestly it's been happening more and more lately especially with newer networks or ones trying to play it cool till they get your info or campaign setup then ghosting is like a badge of honor for some of these guys, the trick is to spot the red flags early like slow replies, dodging follow ups, or vague promises and not waste your time chasing shadows cuz trust me if they ghost before payout they probably will after too, so keep your guard up and don't get attached to dead ends, your CR on these is basically zero if they vanish after setup track it or lack it my friend

haha exactly, it's like a game of cat and mouse. but do you guys think some networks actually care or they just keep you hanging to see if you'll chase? curious if anyone's cracked the code on spotting the ghosting early
