Ticket scalping proxies 2008 vs 2025 - what a joke

yo back in 2008-2011 you could buy a block of 100 datacenter ips for like $20 and get floor seats to like, everything. now? need a whole infrastructure. anyone else remember just using a single proxy with a cookie manager (like cookie editor for firefox) and getting away with it? now u need residentials, antidetect browsers, maybe even mobile ips, and the captchas are insane. what was your old setup like and what did it cost vs what you have to do now? feels like the golden age was before captcha solvers even became a thing (and before they got expensive as hell).

I gotta disagree on that being the golden age. Yeah, back then you could slap on a cheap datacenter proxy and maybe toss in a cookie editor, but the level of simplicity was part of the game. Now? the bar's way higher, but honestly, that's just how things evolve

different angle: I remember back in 09-10 when I just bought some cheap VPSs, slapped on a few proxies, and barely worried about captchas. it was kinda fun, like a puzzle. now?

bruh yeah, those days were like a game of Tetris, stacking proxies and cookies, trying not to get caught. now? feels like solving a Rubik's cube with a blindfold. the simplicity was kinda addictive even if it was risky

Different angle: do you think part of the change is just tech catching up or is it the industry trying to make it harder on people like us? rn feels like they just keep adding layers to make it more expensive and complicated for no real reason. was it always like this or just since the captcha boom?

yeah rn it feels like every step is just more layers to squeeze more rev outta us. kinda like they wanna keep us on our toes but honestly it's just a pain in the ass to keep up.

Honestly I think it wasn't just cheap proxies that made it easier back then, more like the fact that the whole system was less sophisticated. Today's tools might be more complex but they're also way more resilient and targeted. So I'd say it

you wanna know a secret? back in the day, i just used a cheap datacenter proxy, cleared cookies, and bam floor seats. now? lol i need a vpn, residential proxies, and a stack of captcha solvers just to keep up. the game just got a whole lot more expensive and annoying imo.

yo OP, gotta say I think it was never just about cheap proxies but the overall tech simplicity back then, less anti-bot arms race. now? it's like running a small cyber army just to do what used to be a breeze.

15 years ago, I just used a single proxy, cleared cookies, and it worked fine. now? you gotta run residential proxies, anti-detect browsers, and deal with crazy captcha farms. one tip I got is to rotate user agents and IPs constantly, helps avoid some of that detection noise. fam, this game just keeps getting more complex

ngl bruh, lol, you must've had a different run. Proxy tech and bot defenses got way better since 2008, ymmv but 2025 proxies are on a whole new level.

Haha, yeah, ticket proxies today are like flying cars compared to 2008. If you wanna keep up, check out Azura Proxy - legit for scalping now. Their IP pool is massive and keeps you under the radar

Careful with relying on just proxies, have you tried using residential IPs? ymmv but they tend to blend in better and cut down on bans. Ever considered rotating proxy pools on the fly?

bruh, you wanna stay ahead of the game? toss in some residential proxies with geo-targeting. rotating pools on the fly + legit IPs = less bans and more wins.

Yup, totally agree. 2008 proxies were basically joke compared to what's out now. If you wanna stay legit, you gotta mix in residentials and keep rotating, especially with geo-targeting.

tbh just my 2 cents: proxies from 2008? lol they were trash even back then. now it's all about legit residentials or nothing, imo

imo, some of those old proxies still kinda worked if you knew how to use them right, but yeah, they were nowhere near as reliable as today's residentials. kinda depends on what you were doing back then tho.
