so many threads lately about testing proxy speeds and tbh im over it, same advice everywhere. people keep saying use this tool or test all these servers but imo thats just too much. to check if a proxy is fast, just do a quick curl or wget on some small file and see how long it takes. under a second for a decent file? youre good. dont need a million tools or fancy tests. also whats the point of speed if the proxy gets you blocked anyway. whos actually testing these things right without spending forever on it?

im with you but also gotta say a quick check isn't enough sometimes if you wanna really know a proxies reliability especially under load or long sessions. speed test alone can be misleading if the proxy blocks or throttles later. smh, no one tool is perfect but quick checks only tell part of the story.

Spot on. Speed is just one piece of the puzzle. If a proxy gets you blocked or throttled later, all that fast speed doesn't mean much.

ok so totally agree. You can have a fast proxy but if it gets you blocked or slows down later, that speed doesn't matter much. Always gotta look at reliability and longevity too.

ok so nah I think a few good tools help spot issues quick, especially with proxies that look good but choke under real load. sometimes quick curl just ain't enough if you wanna find the flaky ones

yeah but don't forget, even if it's fast, if it's sus or gets you flagged later, it's useless. sometimes a quick test isn't enough, try combining speed with a basic check for proxies that are too good to be true
