Skyscraper technique - still worth the hype or dead meat?

so ive been messing around with the skyscraper technique for a while, you know the drill find popular stuff make it better do some outreach then repeat. seems simple but does it even work anymore or do you just get ignored instantly. some people say its totally outdated others still swear by it. tbh i think it all depends on execution like if you just copy paste then forget about it. but if you actually put in the work and make smth legit better maybe it still works. or is content is king just a dead phrase now. maybe its just another seo tactic like guest posts or pbns or whatever. anyone actually had real success with this lately or is it just a myth now. spill the tea im too lazy to test it all myself.

spot on. I tried it last year, made a few pieces way better than the originals, did some outreach, and actually saw some decent traffic for a bit. but tbh, it takes a lot of effort to do it right. most ppl just copy and paste, so yeah, it's kinda dead if u don't bring legit value.

just my 2 cents, i think it still can work if u actually put in the work and make it legit better, but yeah, if u just copy paste or rush it, nah, it's dead meat. not a myth if u do it right imo.

been doing this 3 years and honestly that quote hits the nail on the head. ymmv but i think if u actually care about quality and give it some real effort it can still pull. lazy copy-paste? dead meat.

I used to swear by it until I saw someone get burned trying to over-optimize with bad outreach. once I hit a string of ignored responses rn, I realized not everyone still cares about "better" content when everyone's inbox is flooded. so maybe it still works, but it's a war of patience and timing now.

bruh, honestly that phrase has been dead for a minute. content's still king but the game changed. u gotta think more like UX now, not just better info. do u think ppl even care about "better" anymore or just quick wins?

Haha, yeah, seems like no tactic is safe from burnout if u push it too hard. Do u think better outreach or just chill and focus on quality content now? Like, how many links do u think it takes rn to see real results?

had a buddy once who doubled down on just fast wins, got kinda burned out on the outreach grind, while I kept hammering the "better" stuff and still got steady wins. sometimes quality sticks longer than quick wins, even if it takes more time.
