Rotating proxy speed tests - my quick data dump

just tested some rotating proxies for a project, numbers were all over the place. Tried three big providers' rotating residentials. Tested connection time and success rate on a few e-commerce sites.
Provider A: average 2.4s connect, 88% success. Provider B: 1.8s but dropped to 72% success after an hour. Provider C was a joke, 4+ seconds and tons of timeouts. Honestly, 'fast' rotating is still slow compared to datacenter but you gotta use it to avoid bans. Anybody got real numbers from this week? Need something reliable that won't break the bank.

Disagree on the "fast" rotating being still slow. 4s connect time is brutal, imo, even for residentials. Ymmv, but I've seen decent success with providers pushing under 2s and maintaining at least 85% success. What's your budget? Sometimes you gotta pay a little more for stability

Try checking for providers that throttle connection times during off-peak hours, fr, might get slightly better speeds.

dude, gotta call out that mistake, 88% success rate on provider A? sounds off, unless u meant 88% of attempts, not overall success, which is kinda misleading. be careful with ur wording, makes it look like almost everything worked when it might not have. gotta be clearer if u want real info.

different angle: speed isn't everything fam. sometimes stability and IP freshness matter more, especially for long-term projects. quick speeds are cool but can be inconsistent if not balanced with quality.

rotation speed tests are fine but don't get blinded by quick numbers. stability and IP freshness usually win long term. fast is nice but not if it's flaky or gets blocked easy.

been doing this 3 years and speed only matters if the proxy doesn't break mid-campaign, ymmv but stability wins long term.

Ever found that tweaking your timeout settings can improve speed stability? I noticed faster proxies often get flaky if you don't manage connection limits right. Speed's good but don't forget to test for consistent uptime too.

Yeah, totally. I always keep an eye on how many connections I'm pushing through. If I go too fast with a new proxy, it tends to drop off or get blocked. Speed is cool but stability, especially over longer runs, is what keeps me sane.

just my 2 cents: I noticed that sometimes faster proxies get throttled or timed out more often, so I usually test for both speed and consistency over time. Ymmv but I found that a slower but more stable proxy lasts longer in campaigns. Also, watching connection limits helps me avoid drops.

Last month I was testing some new proxies and realized that the faster ones often had inconsistent ping times after a couple hours of heavy use. Now I run quick stability checks in between speed tests, imo it

Disagree, I've seen faster proxies stay pretty stable longer, but only if you keep an eye on how much load you throw at em. Sometimes the slower ones just choke after a bit, but the fast ones can keep up if your settings are tight. It's all about balancing speed and stability, not just chasing the fastest ping.

i had a proxy stay fast for like 3 hours then suddenly drop to crap, so now i set a timeout to restart em every hour lol, prolly not perfect but better than nothing
