Proxies for social media automation: price vs quality fight

so i talked about scraping proxies before but now i'm messing with proxies for social media automation. being a total noob, this stuff is a wild ride lol. started with cheap datacenter ones and they got banned fast. switched to reading up on residential proxies, expensive but way better for avoiding bans i think. price range is crazy tho. like some charge $1 per proxy, quality is all over the place and others are $3 saying it's the real deal. mobile proxies came up too, seems even better for sneaking past detection but damn they're pricey. my plan is use cheap datacenter for testing then shift to residential or mobile for actual work. if anyone's got actual experience or knows which providers are actually worth it pls lmk. feels like a gamble rn, just trying not to get my accounts nuked while scaling up

I think scraping proxies and social media proxies are totally different beasts. Do you ask yourself if your proxies are actually rotating enough or if they're getting flagged? Sometimes a cheap proxy with good rotation is better than a high-priced one that gets banned fast.

just my 2 cents: i remember messing with mobile proxies early on, thinking they were the holy grail, but man, the costs are nuts and the setup was a pain. ended up sticking with residentials after some trial and error, even if they're pricier. kinda feels like a gamble every time, rn.

just my 2 cents: i used residential proxies at $2-3 per, worked well for a few months before getting flagged, then tried mobile at $5-6 each and got maybe 3-4x more lifespan but costs skyrocket. if u scale, budget around 300-500 bucks a month for decent residentials or mobile

honestly 300-500 a month is legit if u wanna stay safe long term. but u ever try mixing cheaper proxies for initial testing then scaling with legit residentials or mobiles? could save some cash and avoid

Honestly, I used to think cheap proxies were fine for small tests but got banned fast. Once I splurged on legit residentials at about 3 bucks each, the accounts lasted way longer, but I kept losing money on bans. Tried mobile proxies next, yeah they're pricey but the longer account lifespan makes up for it if you're scaling. The real trick was just watching my account activity and not going full throttle from the start, still a gamble but knowing when to throttle down made all the difference.

different angle: sometimes you get what you pay for. cheap proxies might cause more bans, slow down accounts. quality proxies are often worth the extra cost, especially if you want stuff to run smooth long term. price isn't everything.

bruh, i tried cheap proxies and yeah, got banned quick lol. do u guys think premium proxies really cut down ban rates enough to justify the cost?

Honestly, I think premium proxies are not a magic bullet. They help but if u don't have proper scraping and posting limits in place, bans will happen anyway. Better to focus on realistic account behavior and diversify proxies rather than just chasing the priciest options.

thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah, cheap proxies can be risky rn, especially if u pushing hard. Premium proxies are worth it if u want less bans, but proper account limits and behavior control are still key. U can't just buy ur way out of bad habits.

ok so isn't it crazy how some cheap proxies (less than 1 dollar per GB) still get banned faster than mid-tier ones (around 3-5 dollars)? Ymmv but I've seen 20-30%

Bro that YMMV thing is straight up dodge. I swear, I rolled the dice with ProxyRack, and it's been solid for my Insta runs. Cheaper ain't always the way, imo, lol.

proxies for social media automation: price vs quality fight yep, I get it but I think some folks get too caught up in trying to save a buck. sometimes paying a bit more actually means fewer bans and less headaches. cheap proxies can be a gamble that costs more

honestly I think that's true but I've seen dudes blow stacks on premium proxies and still get banned. sometimes it's just luck or the provider's quality, not just the price tag.

Nah I gotta disagree there, sometimes premium proxies help but it's really about how you use em. I've seen dudes with cheap proxies do just fine if they're careful. It's not always about the $$$, it's about avoiding risky behaviors.
