so I've been thinking about scaling my ops and building an affiliate team, right? but I'm torn between two options and kinda stuck. first is hiring full-time in-house staff, maybe a couple of VA's or specialists, but the overhead and onboarding just seem like a hassle especially with payment terms and managing quality. plus I worry about turnover and training. on the other hand, outsourcing to freelancers or agencies sounds more flexible and cost-effective, but I keep hearing horror stories about inconsistent results and communication gaps. I've tried some VA's before and some were solid, but it's kinda hit or miss. so who's actually cracked this? do you swear by a certain model or mix? I want to scale fast but also keep control over quality and payouts, especially with high-ticket offers. anyone got real experience with building an affiliate team that's efficient and reliable without drowning in management chaos? ngl I wanna hear what actually works in 2023 and what's just hype or dead.
 
bruh I went all in on freelance agencies last year and honestly it was kinda hit or miss but I found that using a mix of in-house for core tasks and freelancers for scale worked best for me. keeps control and flexibility without drowning in mgmt chaos. not perfect but def doable if you set clear KPIs and use good project mgmt tools.
 
Start small, test freelancers with low-stakes tasks first, then scale up if they prove reliable. imo, that's how you avoid drowning in chaos while figuring out who actually delivers. mixing in in-house for the core stuff can keep control, but don't forget, quality still depends on clear processes and communication. are you willing to put in the time to train and manage a semi-remote team? that's the real secret imo
 
I get where you're coming from but imo, sticking solely to freelancers can be risky especially for high-ticket stuff. having at least a few in-house folks who really know your biz gives you a solid control base. freelancers are good for scale but don't rely on them to build the core processes.

i'd say around 70% of my best conversions come from freelancers, not in-house teams. Sure, onboarding can be a pain but most freelancers are already specialists and can jump into a project faster than hiring someone full-time and training them. Plus, the cost savings and flexibility are a no-brainer for me.

lol, honestly if u got a killer freelancer who knows their stuff u can scale fast but in-house is a nightmare to manage long term. choose what fits ur biz style and growth plan.

Build a solid onboarding process and good communication. if they see value and a clear path to growth, they stick around. Otherwise, yeah, you're just cycling through people
 
been doing this 3 years and honestly, OP, u gotta pick based on scale. in-house can be a pain to manage but they stay long term. freelancers can boost your quick wins but forget loyalty. choosing wrong means cycle city. keep it real.
