Hey guys, been messing around with link exchanges and 3-way swaps but not seeing much results. Tried swapping with 5 sites last month, only got 2 backlinks that actually held and those only bumped my DA from 30 to 31. Thought I'd get at least 2-3 backlinks that stuck around but nope. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong or just bad luck? Also heard some folks saying that link exchanges are dead or black hat now but I see some still making it work. Is there a way to do it more naturally or legit without risking my site? Would love to hear real experiences or what's actually working now, like if anyone cracked a method that's still kinda safe and actually pushes rankings. Thanks in advance, just trying to get some guidance from ppl who've actually seen success.
 
last month i did a few swaps, thought it was gonna be easy, but ended up with same kinda results. yeah some folks still do it, but honestly I think it's more about building legit links over time. that quote tho, "Is there a way to do it more naturally or legit without risking my site", smh, makes me think ppl still believe in some magic lol. real success I saw came from actual content and outreach, not just link swaps.
 
been doing this 3 years, still same story. links can be flaky, but sometimes u gotta just keep trying, see what sticks. never rely on swaps alone tho, gotta diversify.

just my 2 cents, maybe try outreach for backlinks instead of swaps. if u actually reach out to legit sites and make it look natural, it's way safer and more stable long term lol. link swaps are so hit or miss now.

I think link exchanges and 3-way swaps are kinda outdated unless you do it super carefully. ymmv, but I found better results focusing on real content and outreach rather than swapping links blindly. less hassle, better long term.
 
Been doing this 20 years, link swaps are a pain now. sure, if you do it right and not spammy, it can help a little but honestly your focus should be on real outreach and building legit content. long term, that wins.

Honestly, I think link swaps can still work if done smart, it's just not the main play anymore but throwing them out completely is kinda shortsighted

Actually, from what I've seen, about 70% of legit sites I worked with still use some form of link exchanges or 3-ways without getting penalized. Sure, it's not a main strategy but it can still be effective if you do it super carefully and avoid overdoing it. Think about it - if you just do a few tight, relevant swaps, it can give you a tiny boost without raising flags. I wouldn't dismiss them entirely just cause some new shiny methods popped up.
 
Been doing this 6 years and honestly, link swaps still hold water if u do them slow and smart, but u gotta know when to cut and run.
