tried a direct deal with a big advertiser last week. figured it'd be smooth - better payout, no network taking a cut. well, got paid late AND they offered a lower rate after i sent a bunch of traffic. totally got played man. was so hyped for the high payouts but tbh direct just means chasing my tail more. anyone else get burned skipping the networks? just venting lol might just stick to my regular networks

Honestly, direct deals can be more of a headache sometimes. they often promise high payouts but end up screwing you over with late payments and renegotiations. I think sticking to networks gives you a bit more stability even if the margins are thinner. kinda feels like playing the long game sometimes.

yep, totally different strokes, i got burned on networks more than direct lol. some direct deals just sus, gotta vet harder.

Careful with thinking networks are safer, sometimes they just hide the same bs behind their brand, gotta weigh the risks with both.

Sounds like you got the full package of bad surprises, huh? maybe next time ask for a deposit or some kind of escrow. never trust a deal that sounds too good to be true, especially with big players.

yo you ever checked out an escrow service like Escrow.com? might save you some stress next time, keeps both sides honest lol.

70% of the time escrow just delays the inevitable, lol. not worth all the fuss if you ask me. trust your gut more than some middleman

Been in this biz 2 years and honestly, direct deals scare me more than networks sometimes. seen a buddy lose a chunk on a "big payout" deal cuz they cut after traffic, same as u. like 30-40% of these big deals end up ghosting or messing u around. not worth chasing high payouts if u gotta deal with this mess.

spot on, fam. the bigger the payout, the more sketchy it feels sometimes. seen too many get burned chasing the high, then end up with crumbs or late payments. real talk, sometimes just sticking with the networks keeps stuff smoother.

Haha, we've all been there. Sometimes the deals look better than they actually are lol. Just gotta shake it off and learn from it, ymmv. Lol. Stay sharp!

Actually, you prob didn't lose a chunk on a deal, more likely you just got burned or had a miscalculation. I've been there, thought I was cashing out big, turned out I was missing a zero or two. Happens all the time, just part of the fun.

Different angle: I once thought I hit a goldmine on a deal, turns out I overlooked some hidden costs, lost a lot more than I expected. Always gotta double check the fine print, even if it looks smooth.

bruh, I feel ya, I once thought I had a sweet deal lined up and ended up getting slammed by some sneaky fees I didn't see coming. Always gotta watch out for those hidden cuts or charges that eat into the payout. It's like, you think you're winning but then bam, split in half rn

just my 2 cents, always try to get everything in writing and double check those payout terms. sometimes it's the small print that eats your margins, bruh. never rely on memory or trust alone.

spot on. I learned the hard waaay to always ask for a screenshot of the payout breakdown before even doing the deal, especially with direct stuff. some guys try to hide those tiny cuts and it adds up fast. never trust just the verbal agreement.

Different angle: maybe it's not just the deal, maybe you rushed or didn't ask enough questions? I dunno, but sometimes it's on us for not being cautious enough. Trusting blindly in direct deals can be a trap, seen too many fall for that.

Haha, appreciate the heads up guys. Yeah, sometimes you just gotta take the L and move on. I'll definitely double check next time, no more zeroes missed lol. Thanks for the advice, y'all rock!
