Link building automation tools - all just fluff?

Link building automation tools - all just fluff?

So I got fed up with doing outreach myself and dropped like 300 bucks on this 'auto link prospecting' thing last month. It just gives me a list of emails and maybe a DA score or whatever. Started the campaign, sent out my templates, thought I was saving mad time. First week got some replies but they were all trash like asking for money or irrelevant blogs. Checked the backlinks it said it could get and half the sites were dead or in weird languages. Ended up with like 2 actual placements after sending hundreds of emails both from sites with zero traffic. Total waste tbh. Now I see all these posts about how automation is the future and you gotta scale your link building. Honestly it feels like bs. The legit good links still come from real relationships and manual digging not some csv export of random sites. Anyone else tried these tools and actually got decent dr70+ placements? Or are we all just pretending it works cuz we paid for it? My conversions were basically zero ctr was trash. Rage testing over here.

Lmao rn I tried a tool too and same deal, half the sites were dead or just in some random language. It's like paying for a lottery ticket, hoping for legit links but mostly end up wasting time. Automation's only good if you do the manual work to vet those sites, otherwise it's just fluff.

most of these tools don't cut it, imo but if you really wanna get legit links without wasting mad time, try manual prospecting on niche forums or comments sections. Find sites that are active and relevant, then reach out personally. That way at least you get a shot at real placements instead of dead sites or language gibberish.

You sure that DA score actually means anything? I once tried a tool that promised high DA sites and it turned out half were dead or spammy. Got me wondering if any of these tools are actually worth the cash or just fancy email lists.

yo honestly, most of these tools are just glorified email lists with some metrics slapped on, ymmv but I've seen plenty of legit links come from manual outreach, not some random CSV

Link building tools are like diets - everyone promises quick results but mostly just makes you hungry. Try scraping niche-specific forums or blogs manually, look for active sites, and reach out directly. Better ROI than some random list from a tool that wastes your time.

lol yeah and like 80% of those tools just scrape some sites, toss in a DA score and call it a day. ever checked how many of those sites are spam or dead tho? I swear, sometimes manual outreach feels more real but still slow as hell lol.

Use BuzzStream for outreach. It automates follow-ups and helps organize contacts but still requires your personal touch to get links. Don't rely on it to do all the work, ymmv.

Different angle: do you think tools like BuzzStream might actually make outreach more scalable or just make it feel easier but still kinda cold?

i swear some folks think automation means you can just set it and forget it and somehow still get quality links. been doing this long enough to know that no matter how fancy the tool, the outreach still needs a human touch. automation can help scale, sure but it can also make it feel cold and impersonal if you're not careful. so imo, all that fluff about "easy link building" is just that - fluff. real links still come from real conversations.

Honestly, automating outreach can be legit if you craft templates that feel personal. Automate the follow-ups but still tweak each message so it doesn't sound robotic, smh. Ymmv but total cold outreach feels like shooting in the dark sometimes.

ppl act like automation tools are some magic spell for links but they're just a piece of the puzzle, bruh. you still gotta do the personal touch, research, and good outreach to actually get legit links. automation can boost scale but it aint a substitute for real effort.

Hey, ever try just using those tools for a quick test and then manually finishing the best links? I did once and got some decent results, kinda surprised me honestly. Idk if it's the tool or just the approach but sometimes they're not all fluff if you don't rely on them alone.

Link building automation tools - all just fluff? nah, I tried telling my buddy that once but he just said he was "automating" his way to rankings and ended up with a spammy site. sometimes automation can help but most of the time it

man been doing this 3 years, and honestly, automation tools are only good for saving time, not for the entire process. i've seen sites with 500+ backlinks and terrible engagement, so automation is just a tool, not the secret sauce. still gotta do the manual outreach and vet links yourself, or you just end up with spam.

Haha, link building tools are kinda like a power tool in the hands of a newbie - can do more harm than good if u don't know what ur doing. I've played around with a few and honestly they can be useful if u tweak settings and monitor results closely. U ever try customizing automation to focus on quality backlinks instead of just mass spamming?
