ISP proxies, the middle ground in proxy game

been messing with ISP proxies lately and tbh they might be the sweet spot between resi and datacenter. not as slow as some residential ones but still legit enough to avoid bans. speed tests? kinda surprising, some are almost like datacenter but less risky. just gotta find a good provider that actually tests their IPs and rotates fast. but yeah not all ISP proxies are equal, some flaky others solid. anyone here cracked the code on stable ISP proxies that wont cost too much or get banned fast? its like a middle ground thats perfect for scraping or automating but still a mystery who's reliable long term. would love some real speed test data and provider reviews from ppl who've been thru it

just my 2 cents, i messed with ISP proxies long ago and found they're kinda a nightmare. some legit ones are too slow or flaky and the cost can rack up quick. ended up sticking with residentials for better stability, even if it's riskier

if you wanna avoid the nightmare part, try to get IPs from smaller ISPs in less saturated areas, those tend to be more stable and less risky, but yeah still a gamble. anyone tried that?

I disagree a bit, I actually found some ISP proxies that are prettyyy stable and cheap, but it took me a while to test a bunch. Ended up with a couple of smaller providers that rotate IPs fast and have decent speed. Not perfect but better than I expected rn.

disagree a bit, i think trying random small ISPs without proper testing is just rolling dice. better to do some proper IP testing, checking for leaks, bans, etc before buying. no point wasting cash on flaky ones rn.

ok so never underestimate the power of a good reverse IP lookup before you even buy. Like, use tools like viewdns.info or similar to check if those ISP IPs are already flagged or have a bad history. Saves a ton of headache down the line, trust me. And if a provider won't share that info or refuses to let you do a test run, just move on

ever tried combining ISP proxies with a rotation service? I got decent speeds and lower ban rates doing that, ymmv. Some small ISPs still flaky tho, gotta keep testing.

Careful with ISP proxies tho, they can be a bit of a lottery depending on the provider and IP history. I'd say do some quick checks like viewdns or abuse IPDB before testing them long term. Not all are flaky, but ymmv so gotta test those speeds and ban rates yourself.

Last month I tried just using ISP proxies solo and I gotta say, the ban risk is real high if you don't have a good provider. I think combining them with rotation tools reaaally helped me avoid bans and keep decent speeds. Seems like the secret is in the provider and IP history, smh. lol

You sure about that? I've been running ISP proxies solo for a while and didn't face any bans. Maybe it's just about choosing the right IPs and avoiding the obvious red flags. Not saying it's risk free, but imo it's not as tricky as some make it out to be if you know what you're doing.

Yup totally. I found that setting up a local proxy pool with fresh IPs from a known legit provider helps a lot. Also, testing each IP's history before use is a must if you wanna

ISP proxies, the middle ground in proxy game, actually can be kinda underrated imo cuz they're more legit looking than datacenter but still kinda easier to rotate than residential sometimes. tip is if you're gonna use them, try to get ones with good geo targeting so ur traffic looks more real and less suspicious. that way u can stay under the radar better when doing ur testing or scraping.

been doing this 4 years now and I've found that ISP proxies can be a sweet spot for testing. Do you guys usually rotate them quickly or keep the same IPs longer for better trust? ymmv but I think consistency sometimes helps build better da and cr.

Totally agree, ISP proxies are kinda underrated. I've had good luck with Oxylabs for them, especially when I need some legit look but still easy to rotate. ymmv but I usually rotate every few hours for better results.

Last month I was testing a new niche and ended up going all in with ISP proxies. Got to say, the legit look helped with trust and avoiding blocks but I kept rotating every 6-8 hours to stay fresh. Ymmv but for me, they hit that sweet spot between datacenter and residential.

careful with calling them the middle ground, sometimes they act more like residential proxies but cheaper. had some setups where ISP proxies got flagged quick, so test and rotate accordingly. ymmv

If you wanna keep those ISP proxies fresh without overdoing it, try mixing in some residential proxies for the more sensitive tasks. Rotate the ISP proxies more frequently (like every 4 hours) and save the residentials for core activities. Keeps your setup flexible and less likely to get flagged across the board.

ngl careful with calling them the sweet spot, ymmv but in my experience, ISP proxies can be hit or miss depending on the provider and use case, so always test and monitor closely.

Have you tried using ISP proxies for high-volume campaigns? I messed around with them last month for a niche and found they worked okay, but I had to rotate often and keep an eye on flags. Once I mixed in residentials, everything got smoother, but yeah, they can be kinda tricky depending on the provider.
