Infographic outreach for backlinks - worth the hype or a waste?

Man, everyone keeps pushing these fancy infographic outreach tactics like its the holy grail. Just blast out some shiny visuals, ping a few blogs, and boom backlinks right? Yeah right. Imho, it's all just hype. Sometimes it works, sometimes it's a total waste of time. I swear half the outreach is just spammy junk no one cares about. And the ones that do get picked up? Usually from legit sites that probably would've linked anyway. So I gotta ask, are we really seeing genuine value from this or just chasing a fleeting trend? Would love to hear some real experiences cause I'm skeptical these days.

You think the hype is overblown? I get it but I've seen case studies where infographics have a 30-40% higher chance of getting shared and linked compared to plain content. Still, it's all about the quality and relevance. If you're just spamming junk, yeah it's probably a waste, but if you put real effort into making something valuable, it can still work.

just my 2 cents, but isn't a lot of outreach spammy junk no matter what? i feel like you gotta focus on making your infographics genuinely useful and targeted, or it's all just noise. do you think it's possible to stand out without crossing into spammy territory?

man just my 2 cents but I had a few decent pickups from pretty basic infographics that weren't super fancy but were niche-specific and helpful. sometimes simple content can hit better than flashy visuals if it hits the right pain points. not everything has to be a masterpiece to get links.

actually, that stat sounds kinda fishy ngl, numbers like that are hard to verify and often skewed. plenty of infographics get ignored or seen as spam, so I'd take those case studies with a grain of salt.

Honestly, I think people overhype the whole infographic thing. It's just another tactic that gets oversold, and most of the time it's just noise. Unless you're really hitting a niche or providing actual value, it's probably not worth all the effort.

bruh, I disagree, I got some decent backlinks from simple, niche-specific infographics too but most of the time it feels like throwing spaghetti at the wall. not sure if it's worth all the hype, fam.

ngl different angle: maybe it's not about the infographic itself but how you pitch it, cause I seen some campaigns with decent engagement when they tailored visuals for a niche, but yeah, overall, like 80% of outreach is just noise.

You think infographics are just hype? I got some legit backlinks from them, but I agree, most are just spammy junk that no one cares about. It's really about how you do it, not just the visuals lol.

honestly been doing this 6 years and honestly, sometimes infographics do get backlinks but half the time it feels like luck. Do u think the key is more in the outreach angle than the visuals?

Honestly I think the hype around infographics is kinda overblown, but they can work if you make them super niche and useful. I had a campaign where I customized visuals for a tight niche and got some legit backlinks, but it was all in how I pitched it. My tip: focus on making the infographic really valuable to that specific audience, then personalize your outreach instead of spammy blast and pray. ymmv tho.

80% of outreach emails get ignored, so I think infographics can work if you do it right but they're not magic. I had some decent success but it's a slow grind and depends on how good your infographic is and how

Do you think the visual element of infographics actually boosts open rates compared to plain text outreach, or is it just about the quality of the content?

Haha, if infographics were a guaranteed backlink factory, we'd all be drowning in links by now. One thing that actually helps is sending personalized data snippets within your infographic that relate directly to the target site - makes it feel less like spam and more like real value. Studies show personalized outreach can boost response rates by 30-50%, so don't overlook that

yup, same here. sometimes i throw in a quick custom stat or fact in the infographic itself, just to catch their eye. but honestly, the success still mostly depends on the outreach message itself.

ok so ha, if backlinks came from just slapping up infographics we'd all be rich by now. they can help but no magic wand. gotta nail the outreach too

different angle: sometimes I think people overlook how much the niche and target site quality matter more than just the infographic itself. like yeah a pretty graphic helps but if the site isn't legit, backlinks from there ain't doing much. can't rely solely on the visual candy.

Last month I sent out like 50 infographic outreach emails and only got 3 responses that led to backlinks. I spent hours making those graphics and tweaking my pitches but the results still felt kinda meh. kinda makes u wonder if all that effort is really worth it or if it's just noise in the end.

Different angle: ever consider that maybe the real juice isn't just in the infographic but in how you position it and who you reach out to? like, sometimes the prettiest graphic won't get you anywhere if you're not targeting the right sites or crafting a personalized pitch. anyone noticed better results with more niche-specific outreach rather than just blasting out to everyone?
