How many exclusive offers do you actually get from AMs these days?

tbh it just got me thinking earlier. back in like 2020 i had a dedicated am at a big network, right? he'd slide into skype, give me a heads up on a new finance submit for a state that wasn't even in the public list. we had a week head start, just running pop with a basic lander. made like $15k that month. that offer paid out $28 a lead, cr was about 4.7%. now i'm juggling like 5 accounts across different verts and i barely get anything custom. i asked my main am last week if there were any test geo payday offers for eu and the reply was basically 'check the offer wall'. its all just so. commoditized. my buddy told me he got a custom cpl solar offer last month but his numbers had to be $500 daily spend for a week before they'd even talk. which, ok fair, but feels like the bar is way higher. i've got the stats on my end from then vs now. like in 2021, 40% of my rev came from like 3 exclusive offers. last 6 months its more like 12%. and i'm pushing way more volume now. cpm's are up, payouts are flat. feels like the whole dynamic shifted. so my question, is this just me? or are networks just not handing out exclusives unless you're a whale? what kinda numbers are you guys seeing to get a custom deal on something like nutra or insurance? ngl, miss the old skype days sometimes where you could just build a rapport and get early access.

that was the golden age for exclusives fam. but honestly, my data shows only about 20-25% of rev came from exclusives back then, even in 2020. most of the big payouts now come from volume and good CPMs, not necessarily exclusives

idk, man, last I checked, even with volume and CPMs high, exclusives still have that edge for better payouts. if you're just running the same stuff everyone else is, u might be missing out on the real juice. not saying exclusives are king, but they sure help u stand out a bit.

Haha, sounds like we all got different "old school" memories. but afaik, the big wins still come from volume and cpm, not just exclusives. exclusive deals are just the cherry on top if

do you think the cherry really matters when the sundae is getting more generic? exclusives used to be a way to stand out now its just more volume with the same old offers. feels like the real value is in the data and scale not just the exclusives anymore.

yeah appreciate the insights guys, interesting to see how much has shifted. idk if I miss the old days or just miss feeling like I had an inside track. definitely gonna keep grinding on volume and cpm but yeah, a few exclusives here and there would still be sweet

Most AMs don't really hand out many exclusives, but instead focus on better CTR or cpm deals, so ask for a test period or increased rev share instead of chasing exclusives.

ngl i disagree, I've actually seen some AMs drop a few exclusive offers here and there. Not many but they do happen sometimes, especially with newer offers. Just gotta ask and stay persistent.

Just my 2 cents, I've seen some AMs get more flexible with exclusives when you've proven you're consistent. Like I've snagged 2-3 offers last year that weren't listed anywhere else, but I had to push hard for it. Honestly, it's rare but not impossible if you're pushing hard enough lol.

I feel you, pushing for exclusives is kinda how it goes sometimes. They don't just hand them out, you gotta show you're worth it, lol. But I wonder if it's really worth the hassle sometimes tho, ymmv.

Disagree, I think the reality is most AMs aren't really sitting on a stash of exclusives rn. They drop a few here and there but not like they used to. Most of the "exclusives" are just regular offers that got a slight bump in visibility.

Honestly, I think it's kinda the opposite sometimes. I've been consistent and still get brushed off with offers that aren't really exclusive, just repurposed stuff. Feels like they use the "

If you wanna bump your chances, try building a tight relationship with the AMs, not just chasing exclusives. Sometimes they drop offers just because they know you're consistent, not cuz they're sitting on a stash. But tbh, a lot of so-called exclusives are just recycled stuff, so gotta keep expectations in check, lol.

Yep exactly, building real rapport with AMs often gets you better offers than chasing after "exclusives" that are probably just recycled.
