Holiday offers - what really crushes during the season?

So I posted about seasonal stuff before but damn, do you guys remember how the old days were? Back when Xmas and New Year used to be a goldmine for some offers and then suddenly it all dried up? Now it feels like some offers just tank or explode depending on the year. Curious what you all are seeing now, which niches are still hot during holidays and which ones are just burning your budget. I swear some offers just click during Halloween or Black Friday but come January crickets. What's working for you guys this year? Anyone cracked the holiday code again or is it a gamble like always?

You said some offers just tank or explode depending on the year but I think the key is tracking trends and seasonality data - do you have a source for that or just gut feeling?

honestly, I mostly keep an eye on Google Trends and affiliate networks' seasonal reports but a lot is gut feeling based on past patterns. Sometimes I test small campaigns in the early season and scale up if I see momentum. Afaik, there's no perfect source, just experience and quick data checks.

just my 2 cents, but do you think the seasonality shifted because of the shifting consumer behavior or maybe the ad fatigue? Seems like what used to work is just not as reliable anymore, right? Do you guys think this is just a blip or a new normal?

yep exactly, seems like everyone's just winging it more than ever, no clear pattern anymore, so how do you even trust those trends?

just my 2 cents but I've seen CPCs during holiday spikes jump 30-50% on some niches like gadgets and beauty but then drop sharply post-Jan. Also, offers that had a cr of around 10-15% during Q4 can tank to 5-8% in Jan, so it's all about timing and niche focus. honestly, I think the "seasonality" is more about consumer intent shifting rather than just offers, so testing early and pivoting quick seems to be the key now.

Appreciate the tips guys, Google Trends is a solid start and those reports are handy. Yeah, I think ad fatigue plays a role too, plus people's shopping habits are all over the place now. Things are definitely more volatile, so testing early and often is key imho.

different angle: i think not just the discounts but how they package it. like bundle deals or exclusive limited stuff, that's what gets ppl clicking. had a campaign last year where free shipping + gift wrap boosted conversions even more than the sale itself. sometimes the offer framing matters more than the discount.

last month i ran a promo with a bundle deal and it crushed compared to just discounts alone. ppl love feeling like they're getting a deal on more stuff lol. packaging it right makes all the difference.

tbh actually, last holiday season I saw that about 70% of my clicks came from limited-time offers and exclusives, not just discounts. People wanna feel like they're getting smth special, especially during the season. Gotta be quick on those deals, or they miss out.

yeah fam, packaging can make or break a offer, especially during the holidays. like, if you make it look exclusive or limited, ppl get that FOMO and click more. simple but highkey effective.

Careful with relying only on discounts, fam. During the holidays, ppl eat up freebies or bonus offers too, like buy 1 get 1 free or exclusive bonus content. makes em feel like they get more value w/o just slashing prices

bruh, totally agree but also think sometimes people just wanna grab quick deals without overthinking, so keep that in mind. if u make it too "special" all the time, it might lose its effect. gotta find that balance.

ok so 55% of people say they buy on impulse during holidays, no lie. I remember last year I ran a quick test with a "limited time" offer and suddenly my clicks doubled, no cap. Sometimes all it takes is that sense of urgency or scarcity, even if it's kinda fake.
