Holiday Offers Fail to Convert, Need Advice

been running seasonal promos for Christmas and New Year. Usually I see a bump but this time, nothing. CTRs are decent but conversions are dead. Tested different landing pages, tweaked the copy, still no juice. It's like everyone already bought gifts or just ignoring ads. Frustrated, cause last year was sweet. Anyone else seen this? What actually converts now during holidays?

Been there, done that. Holidays can be a nightmare for conversions, especially if your traffic is broad and not niche-targeted enough. CTRs are decoys, the real deal is what happens after they land. Last year I noticed a big lift when I shifted focus to last-minute gift guides and used urgency triggers in the copy, like "Last chance" or "Limited stock." Also, people are more likely to convert on offers that feel exclusive or time-sensitive right now. If your promos are just general deals, no wonder they ignore them. Might be worth testing some hyper-specific bundles or adding a little scarcity to the offers. RGR to focus on the LTV, not just chasing the holiday hype

been there. holiday traffic often just peaks early or gets saturated quick. people buy before the actual holiday, so if you're pushing too late, conversions drop.

Nimbus, I hear you. Holidays can be a pain for conversions especially if you miss that sweet spot of pre-holiday shopping rush. I wonder if your traffic source is the issue? Maybe broad traffic is just noise right now. I've seen some guys switch to hyper-niche targeting and get better post-holiday engagement. Or maybe the offer itself just doesn't resonate anymore during this season. Are you still running the same creatives and angles from last year? cuz what worked then might be dead now.

Maybe broad traffic is just noise right now
Broad traffic being noise is a common excuse but maybe it's just the creatives or the offer not resonating. Sometimes it's not about the traffic source but how you're positioning it, especially when everyone's already bought their gifts early. Most gurus tell you to chase volume but forget most conversions happen with the right messaging at the right time.

Look, the reality is during holidays people are busy or just checked out. CTRs might look decent but if the timing is off or the creatives don't hit that emotional nerve right before they buy, conversions tank. Maybe focus on last-minute or post-holiday offers, or shift to a pain point they still care about. It's not just traffic or landing pages, it's the story you tell at the right moment. Sometimes the window just shifts and your whole MOAT needs a quick tweak.

Color me skeptical on that. You're saying you tested landing pages and tweaked copy but still no conversions? Maybe your traffic is just dead or too cold now. During holidays people buy early or not at all, and if you missed the window it's like shouting into the void. I'd check if your domains are aged enough and owning your hosting is a must.

Holiday offers often flop cuz people are flooded with deals and distractions. If conversions are tanking, ask yourself if your traffic source is actually aligned with your offer. Are you targeting the right customer avatar and delivering the right message? Sometimes the whole problem is just the wrong traffic in the wrong place, trying to sell a deal they don't care about. Don't chase shiny objects, go deeper into understanding your audience's LTV and CAC.

honestly I think most of these holiday flops are cuz people get lazy. They just blast the same tired offers with no real targeting or cloaking finesse. If you wanna actually make money, gotta work on your prelanders, cloaking, and avoid footprints. Holiday season ain't no excuse to slack, just harder to hide your footprints. GL with that.

funny you should say that, but i think the problem isn't just the offer or the traffic, its the stack. if your push stack isn't optimized for holiday traffic, no fancy cloaking or targeting will save it. sometimes you gotta reconfigure the whole flow to match the seasonal chaos. otherwise, you're just throwing stuff at the wall hoping it sticks.

are you sure the offer is the problem or is it your LP and traffic alignment? i've tested this extensively and often the traffic quality and the landing page are what really kill conversions not just the holiday angle.

BACK IN MY DAY, holiday offers used to crush it but now the market's so saturated it's like trying to sell snow in Alaska. If your conversions are tanking, check your traffic source first, cuz if the customer avatar is off or your traffic's weak, no amount of fancy cloaking or stacks will save you. And forget about the offer, the landing page and flow are what really determine if they buy or bounce.

Honestly, I think the biggest issue is everyone's chasing the same tired angles. The market's flooded, so if your offer isn't standing out and your CWV is tanking because of heavy imagery, good luck. You gotta rethink the stack and make sure your traffic quality is actually there before blaming the holiday curse

Hard disagree, but I see your point about needing fresh angles. Still, saying holiday offers fail to convert is kinda oversimplified. The problem is usually the basics - targeting, offer relevance, copy.

u need to get off the tired angles and rethink ur approach. holiday offers can still convert if u nail the targeting and make sure ur traffic is quality. everything else is just noise imo.

fam honestly it's just the chaos right now. everyone tryna push holiday stuff but the suppliers got me fighting with customs, shipping all over the place.

u need to get off the tired angles and rethink ur approach
no matter how fire the offer, if the logistics sus, conversions gonna be dead. just gotta keep it drip and hope for the best, cap.

All good points. So, how are you guys tweaking your traffic sources or LPs for holiday? Just fresh offers or some sneaky tricks to cut thru the noise?
