So I got caught up in that classic scam artist game where the affiliate manager suddenly disappears after promising the moon and stars. Thought maybe I said something wrong or traffic was too bad but turns out they just ghost you like you're last season's news. Classic move, right? Only I'm genuinely curious if anyone else has stumbled into this type of friendly ghosting. Is it a sign of a shady network or just some guy on a power trip? I mean, I get it, dealing with a big scammy network is like trying to herd cats in a rainstorm but still, a little honesty wouldn't hurt. if anyone's got tips for spotting these types early before pouring months of traffic into a black hole. Or is this just part of the wild west of affiliate life? Anyway, just a heads up keep your eyes peeled for the invisible man, he might be running your next campaign.

Only I'm genuinely curious if anyone else has stumbled into this type of ghosting. Sorry to say but this is just the affiliate version of being stood up on a first date. You think it's the network, maybe traffic quality, but honestly it's probably just some kid playing power games. You pour months into a campaign and then poof, no reply, no reason. That's not a shady network problem, that's a sign you're dealing with amateurs who don't respect the hustle. You gotta cut these leeches early, learn to spot the red flags lazy support, no real transparency, no real metrics. If someone ghosts, it's because they don't have the backbone or the legit traffic sources to back their promises. Just part of the game, but don't act surprised - that's affiliate life in the wild west.

smh, ghosting is just part of the game sometimes. no matter how shiny they make it sound, if they vanish that quick, probably a red flag. show me the data on their payout history or communication consistency before you pour months in. traffic quality is one thing but if they ghost after promises, that's a sign they might not even be legit. honestly, most of these "big networks" that vanish are just another set of crapshoots. better to spot the signs early - inconsistent contact, vague promises, no proof of real conversions. remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. keep your guard up and don't get blinded by the shiny offers.

Honestly, do you think these guys even know what honesty is or is it just a code they all ignore? maybe the real scam is trusting any network that promises you honesty from the jump.

I gotta disagree with Propel here, I think it's not always about trust or honesty. Sometimes these guys are just overloaded or dealing with crap behind the scenes. Ghosting isn't always a sign of being shady, just maybe bad communication or they got overwhelmed. Doesn't mean the whole network is a scam, just a crappy handler

SMH I wonder if the ghosting is more about their inbox being flooded or maybe they just don't know how to say no. But really, what's the real reason they vanish? They probably don't care that much about us if they can just disappear like that. who's really winning here?

It's all about the long game, not these quick ghostings. If they vanish now, it's prob a sign they don't see long-term value in the partnership. Better to focus on building relationships with those who understand the importance of consistent communication. This is a reminder that real growth in affiliate is about patience and strategic thinking, not chasing after every shiny object or ghost.

yeah, Lead's got it right but most people forget that the 'long game' on adult traffic is all about that 'quick' data. Ghosting now? Means they don't see enough value yet or your offer's not hitting right. You gotta keep testing and stay persistent, hustle for that perfect landing. Most whitehat dating advice is worthless when you're blasting through 50-100k a day and chasing EPC that pays for your gear. The long game is built on the quick wins, the data, the split tests. Ghosts come and go but the real winners are those who keep their flow alive and adapt fast.

seen it before. ghosting is just part of the game sometimes. some ams are swamped or just not feeling it anymore. the key is to keep pushing and not take it personally. focus on the ones that do reply and build real relationships. also, don't chase too hard or you'll look desperate. stay cool and move on quick if they vanish. sometimes it's about timing or priorities on their end, not you.

Yeah, ghosting is just part of the dance. You get used to it when you're in this game long enough. It's like dating but with less honesty and more broken promises. AMs disappear, then suddenly they're back like nothing happened. If you chase, you look needy, if you don't, you get ignored. Tell me you've never run a real test without telling me. The key is just to keep your head down, keep testing, and don't get emotionally attached to every ghost. Focus on the ones who actually reply and figure out what's working. The rest? You're just feeding the ghost stories.

Honestly, I think ghosting is just the industry's way of telling you your offer was probably about as appealing as a PBN in a fresh sandbox. If they disappear, chances are they're off chasing the next shiny thing or just waiting for the churn and burn to finish. The long game theory is cute but a lot of these AMs are just ticking time bombs or sitting on a pile of dead leads. Focus on the ones who actually reply or are worth the effort. The rest?

yeah, ghosting is pretty much standard at some point. my take is that if your cookie lifetime is solid and the offer's LTV is there, ghosting just means they aren't quite sold yet or your follow-up timing is off. chasing too much usually just shaves your EPC in the long run. gotta keep testing and layering your touchpoints. the attr window on these AI tools is killing me tho, if commissions aren't firing past 60 days it's just shaving your potential long-term EPC.

show me the numbers though because sometimes it just a timing thing or maybe your CR dipped a bit but if your EPC and ROI are still holding up then ghosting might just be a sign to switch angles or creatives

But do we really know if ghosting is always on their end or if maybe our messaging or timing is off? I mean sometimes the silence isn't just industry standard but a signal we missed. How often do we pause to re-evaluate if our follow-ups are actually adding value or just more noise?

lol, yeah ghosting is basically the industry's way of saying your lp didn't hit their pain point right away. if the offer's worth anything, they'll come back. but if they ghost after a few touchpoints, it's probably just a sign your messaging isn't hitting hard enough early on. work on those first 3 lines, if they don't feel the pain quick, the rest is just noise. brb, gotta tweak some headlines.
