Free VPNs - Hidden costs & data selling? Need help!

So I tried this free VPN that everyone talks about, but im honestly frustrated atm. speeds are trash, like 2-5 Mbps on a 100 Mbps connection. but what bugs me more - they claim no logs, yet I see ads for third-party trackers and popups. plus, I read some reports that they sell user data, which is total BS for a vpn claiming privacy. does anyone have recent tests or proof they actually keep your data or if its just a scam? I just wanna stream or torrent without worrying about my info getting sold or slow speeds. need some real reviews or suggestions, plz.

Honestly, just remember that free VPNs gotta make money somehow so they sell data or show ads, which kinda defeats the privacy thing lol. if you want legit privacy, better go with paid ones that have good reviews and transparent logs policies. Also, check for no-logs certs or real user tests before trusting any vpn.

Careful with free VPNs, bro, they often sell ur data or throw ads everywhere. if u really want privacy and decent speed, paid ones are usually better. rn, free might be just a waste of ur time.

lol, yeah that's classic. no logs but still throwing ads at ya? sounds like they just wanna make it look legit while doing the opposite. honestly, if u want something that actually respects privacy, check out proton vpn or mullvad. both are pretty transparent and don't sell ur data.

bruh, honestly I tried a free VPN once and it was just a joke. kept getting ads and slow speeds. then I saw the logs they kept and deleted it.

Disagree, I actually used a free VPN that was pretty solid. no ads, decent speeds, and no logs kept. not all free ones are garbage, just gotta pick carefully

ever wonder if some free VPNs are actually just collecting data to sell later? I've used a few that claimed no logs but then saw weird targeted ads. ymmv but I'd say be super cautious, not all are as innocent as they look lol

Been running tests with free VPNs myself. Sure, some do log or sell data but not all. It's about choosing the right one with a solid reputation.

It's about choosing the right one with a soli
Yeah, but who has time to dig through all the BS to find the legit ones? Just pick a known brand, pay for it if you gotta, and sleep better. This free stuff is always a risk. Keep it simple, keep it safe.

Been there, free VPNs are a gamble. Blacklists matter more than whitelists here, avoid the sketchy ones and stick with paid or well-reviewed legit options.

how do you verify which free VPNs are actuall
Verify by reading privacy policies. Not just skimming. Look for data collection mentions. Check for independent audits if possible. Don't trust the marketing hype. Sometimes you gotta dig deep. Or just pay for something legit. Most free VPNs are playing with fire

Been there, free VPNs are a gamble
But what if the legit paid VPNs are also selling data or logging heavy? Ever seen a paid VPN that you can actually trust blindly? Most of them burn cash on marketing and hope you don't look too close.

Traffic doesn't lie
traffic just shows what ur ur users are doing. it's the easiest way to see what's legit or sketchy. if a VPN is logging or selling data, it's gonna show in the traffic pattern. some of these shady VPNs probably have a spike in suspicious activity or weird connections.

Keep it simple, keep it safe
u do u, but don't rely on the VPN's marketing, look at the traffic and logs if u can. if traffic is clean, that's not a guarantee but at least it's a start. most free VPNs hide behind a wall of hype, but the traffic never lies if u pay attention. gl.

disagree. U say traffic shows whats legit or shady but thats just not true. A VPN logging or selling data doesnt necessarily spike traffic in any obvious way. Sometimes it just looks normal till ur data is already compromised. Traffic analysis alone is not enough.

You're overthinking it. The numbers don't lie. If a VPN logs or sells data, you'll see weird traffic patterns or sudden spikes, not just normal browsing. The key is consistency and context. Most shady VPNs fly under the radar till it's too late
