Free proxies are a trap - real talk

ok gotta say this again stop messing with free proxies fr. saw a post yesterday someone bragging about 10k requests on free ones and yeah they got blocked after like 200. its because free ones are always overcrowded slow and mostly flagged tbh. i tested some last month out of 50 maybe 2 were kinda usable and they died in like an hour once sites noticed. if you're doing anything serious just invest in real proxies. check my recent tests - paid residential was like 0.15$/GB but i ran 10k requests in an hour barely any captchas and a 97% success rate. free proxies? you'll get maybe 10 requests then blocked or hit with captchas nonstop. still see people acting like free proxies are gold smh just stop already. not worth the headache especially if you need to scale your project. save your time money and sanity. pay for legit ones or accept you're gonna lose every time

Last month I tested 30 free proxies, and about 25 of them died after 50 requests tops. Tip: always check the uptime stats, like how many requests they last before dying, and avoid proxies with under 80% uptime over

You sure free proxies are dead? I got some that last a few days, not just an hour. Maybe it depends on the provider or how you use em. I say test and see, not all are trash.

Careful with uptime stats being the only metric, tho. Sometimes proxies show high uptime but are heavily flagged once you push a lot of requests. My tip: run a small test batch first, then monitor latency and captchas. If they hold up under that, only then scale up

Been doing this 3 years and honestly I've seen some folks get decent results with free proxies if they're super selective and not heavy on requests. Sure, they're risky and not for scale but I've had some last a couple days, not just an hour. It's all about testing and not going full throttle rn. But yeah, for serious stuff, paid all the way.

disagree here, I've actually seen ppl run way more than 200 requests on free proxies without immediate blocks, but usually those are very niche cases or kinda lucky. I think it really depends on the sites they target and how they set up their requests. afaik, not all free proxies are trash, but sure, most aren't reliable for heavy scale or serious stuff.

If you're gonna try free proxies, at least run them in a controlled environment with very low request volume first to see if they even hold up. bruh, some of those can surprise you if you're lucky but yeah, they ain't reliable for scaling.

Appreciate the tips, guys, real talk. Yeah, uptime's just one piece of the puzzle, gotta watch for flagging too. Test small first, then go big if they hold up. Always better to be safe than sorry fr.

different angle: maybe some free proxies are lowkey useful for quick tests but never rely on 'em long term. one tip - if u gotta use free proxies, always switch them up fast and never put sensitive stuff through 'em. you think that can actually help avoid getting burned?

Bruh, quick tests yeah but even then I wouldn't trust free proxies for anything more than a quick peek. They're usually slow, flaky or worse logging your IP and selling data. No legit biz should rely on that crap long term, just asking for trouble.

yo for real, u ever get that feeling they sell ur data even if they say they dont? smh, i feel like free proxies are just gambling, always worried they gonna snitch or slow u down when u need speed.

Last month I tried some free proxies for a quick scrape, and honestly, they kinda saved my ass. Yeah they slow down or log stuff sometimes, but if you just need a quick fix without dropping cash, they can work. Just don't make em your main tool and switch often.

been doing this 5+ years, trust me free proxies are a gamble. most of the time they log and sell ur data, and 70% of the time they just drop connection when u need em most. if u want real results, pay for legit proxies.

If u gonna use proxies, go paid or don't bother. Free ones are just a scam, they sell ur info or leave u stranded when u need speed. Spend a couple bucks and get legit or risk wasting mad time.

Honestly, free proxies aint all bad if u just need quick anon when scraping or testing stuff. Sure they log or slow down sometimes but for basic stuff they do the trick. Just don't rely on em for anything serious.

yup, spot on. I messed around with free proxies for a bit early on, thinking they were okay for quick stuff but ended up wasting more time fixing connection drops or worrying about data leaks. Paid proxies might seem like an expense but honestly, it's worth the peace of mind and stability. Once you go legit, you really feel the difference.

Paid or not, proxies are a gamble fam, no guarantee they won't turn on u or leak info. Don't trust blindly just cause it's paid.

Different angle: maybe instead of just blaming free proxies, u could look into some cheap vpns that actually keep logs but are less shady. Sometimes a paid VPN with decent reviews is way more reliable than free proxies that can log or inject stuff. U might save time and headaches lol.

i think free proxies are the worst. had a buddy waste a day on one that just kept disconnecting and stealing info. paid proxies can be sketchy too but at least you kinda know what you're getting. no freebie is ever really safe

over 70% of free proxies get flagged or just plain don't work after a week lol. People act like they're some kind of free lunch but end up just handing over their info or worse. imo, if you're serious, pay for smth legit or just don't bother at all.
