Email marketing for affiliate offers is it still worth it?

Hey guys, quick question, has email marketing lost its edge or is it still a solid way to push offers? I've been doing it for a while, mainly solo, with decent results back in the day. Now I see a lot of chatter about how open rates are dropping, spam filters are tighter, and people are moving away from email. But then again, I still see some affiliates smashing it with email. Is it just about better segmentation, or has the whole email game dried up? Maybe I'm missing smth. Curious what your experience is lately. Do you think email still pulls in conversions like it used to or should I start focusing on other channels? Afaik, email's got a kinda cheap, warm audience vibe if you know how to build your list right. Or is it just a relic now?

lol, I've been in the game for years and honestly email still pulls if you do it right. The key is better segmentation and less spammy vibe. I've seen some folks crush it with clean, targeted campaigns, sooo I'd say it's not dead just more fine-tuned.

Honestly, I think email ain't dead, just more about smart targeting now. People forget, a warm list still hits different if you keep it clean and relevant. It's all about the approach, not the channel.

Just my 2 cents, totally agree. It's more about finesse now, not volume. If you keep it tight and relevant, email can still pull good rev, no doubt.

if you wanna keep email alive, focus on getting fresh subscribers. Old lists get cold fast unless you're constantly feeding them new, interested peeps. Otherwise, I think other channels might actually be better long term.

careful with those stats, tho. open rates are dropping but that's partly cuz inboxes are flooded and ppl get lazy. spam filters are tighter but if you know how to craft legit emails, it still works. it's not dead, just more about finesse, not trashing it entirely.

Yeah, unless you're a list ninja constantly slinging fresh juice in there, it's like trying to start a fire with cold wood, gonna struggle to get it going.

careful with the "exact same" stuff fam, it's not a copying contest. email still works if you know what you're doing but it's definitely not the golden ticket it was. i mean, i saw open rates drop from 20-25% to like 12-15% in some niches, but if you got that niche nailed, you can still pull decent results. just don't expect it to be easy or magic like before.

been doing this 3 years now and I remember back in 2020 I got a decent run just tweaking my subject lines and segmentation. one time I sent out an offer and it flopped, then tried the same thing a week later and crushed it. kinda makes me think the audience's mood shifts more than the channel itself.

Split test your subject lines like crazy, fam. But yeah, the game's tougher rn, so gotta adapt or it's gonna feel dead. Are you experimenting with new email tools or just sticking to the old school?

yo careful with spamming your list though, if you just blast promos all the time people will ignore or even mark you as spam. Instead, focus on segmenting your list and sending targeted, value-packed content that's genuinely useful. That way you build trust and get better open rates over time.

last month I tried just blasting offers and saw my open rates tanking. Do you guys also test different send times or content styles to boost engagement?
