Direct deals vs networks - where do the numbers say to start?

ok been thinking about this a ton, especially with some actual numbers to look at. everyone's all about direct deals, you hear higher payouts, like i've seen direct offers for 50-70 bucks a sale in health or finance stuff. but the catch is the conversion is lower, maybe 1-2%. so push 1000 clicks maybe 20 sales, payout like 1000 bucks if it goes well. that's a 20% conversion rate., networks pay less, like 20-30 per sale, but conversions are way better, like 5-8%. same traffic you get 50-80 sales, payout more like 1500-2000. numbers don't lie. problem is if you're new, direct deals are a pain to land and negotiate, takes ages to build relationships. but if you're experienced and can drive serious traffic, those higher direct payouts might actually work better. for someone just starting out, imo test with networks first, then go direct once you have good numbers and volume. anyone else actually testing this? would love to see real numbers on what's working.

Haha yeah, sounds like a gamble but I remember back in the day I got one direct deal for a health offer and ended up with like 10 sales from 200 clicks, payout was solid but the grind was insane trying to land that. Tip

yeah, direct deals can be a wild ride. I've seen folks lock in 50 bucks per sale but struggle to get even 2% conversion. If your traffic is decent, that might add up fast, but solo negotiations take forever.

Careful with those big direct payouts, they often come with high traffic quality expectations. I've seen offers pay 70 bucks, but the actual conversion can be 0.5-1% if traffic

Appreciate the insights, bruh, that grind for direct deals is real, especially for health and finance stuff. Yeah, quality traffic is everything, and those high payouts can be a trap if your conversion isn't solid. For newbies, networks are safer to start, but if you got the traffic and the patience, direct deals can boost your income for sure.

highkey start with networks lol, direct deals sound nice but usually more headache and less scale for newbies.

spot on, start with networks to test and scale quick, then chase direct deals once u got data and more confidence.

Careful with jumping straight into direct deals just because they sound "nice." they can be a nightmare for newbies, lots of back and forth and less room to experiment. networks might seem boring but they let u get your feet wet fast and build confidence. scaling with direct deals usually comes after u got some real data under your belt

ok so been doing this 3 years and honestly it depends on your budget and goals. The question isn't really where to start but what works best for your scale and risk level. And btw, the title kinda mixes the question, should be "where do the numbers say to start for most?"

Isnt that just shifting the focus? I mean, wouldnt the initial decision still matter more than risk level or scale? If u ask me, starting with networks is easier to test fast and scale, then go direct if u see good EPC

shifting focus? nah, just understanding the real deal. starting with networks is like quick testing, direct is more legit but takes longer. both matter but easiest to get rolling fast with networks.

Different angle: maybe quick testing with networks gives ya the data to actually approach direct deals smarter. You get a feel for what converts and what doesn't w/o burnin through a ton of time and cash. ymmv though.

yo, if u wanna get quick wins, try using AffJet for testing. it speeds up finding good offers fast so u can decide if direct or network makes more sense long term. easy to switch gears with that.

Haha, yeah, but don't forget networks are like training wheels - they help you learn the ropes but don't get you the real prize. You can test all day but if you skip straight to direct without the groundwork, you might get burned or just spin wheels. ymmv, but smart testing first usually pays off later

Just my 2 cents, but I've been down the direct deals route and honestly, jumping straight in can burn you out fast. Networks give ya a foundation to test and optimize before risking big bucks on direct. IMHO, starting with networks actually SAVES time and money in the long run.
