BrightData vs Smartproxy vs Oxylabs - Need fresh thoughts

ok so i posted about proxies maybe a year ago right stuck with all the basic ones everyone talks about. anywaaay i finally found something that actually works for my scraping stuff which is wild cause i was so done with proxies that ban instantly or are just way too slow not worth the trouble at all. ended up testing brightdata smartproxy oxylabs again just checking if things improved tbh its totally different now? thought i'd get the same old runaround but brightdata really got their residential ips sorted pools are legit dont die immediately. smartproxy was surprisingly good way cheaper than i thought too oxylabs yeah still crazy expensive but for specific jobs where you need stealth its worth it if you're trying to scrape properly w/o getting caught. so yeah anyone have recent experience here any new favorites? im pumped messing with these more would love some new recs though or heads up if someone got burned recently

Haha, same here, always chasing that perfect proxy combo. I remember once I thought I was onto something with a cheap provider and then bam, IPs got flagged in like 2 hours. Sometimes it's just trial and error but yeah, the stealth game is real.

Yeah I feel ya, like 3-4 years ago I was stuck with some super cheap proxies that lasted like a day tops. Found out the hard way that quality matters way more than price if you wanna scrape anything decent. BrightData definitely stepped up their game but honestly, I've been playing around with some local ISP proxies for niche stuff and surprisingly they've been pretty solid without blowing the budget. Anyone tried those?

ha, yeah i remember doing the same thing, thought the same but i swear the only thing that really changed is the price tags, not the quality. just feels like they all move the goalposts and call it progress. ymmv tho.

Been doing this 5 years, and honestly BrightData's the only one I trust now. smartproxy used to be decent but got too inconsistent. oxylabs still pricy but sometimes worth it if you need stealth.

Different angle: have you looked into using a proxy rotation service like ProxyRack or Storm Proxies? sometimes they offer more stable pools and flexible plans for scraping. might be worth testing if you're tired of the big names feeling like a gamble all the time. anyone else try those lately?

Did you actually get stable results with BrightData? I've tried them a few times and honestly, they still seem hit or miss for me. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I wouldn't say they got their residential pools totally sorted yet.

Haha, if you want less bans try rotating your user agents often. simple but effective to stay under the radar. ymmv tho.

careful with assuming they all still good tho, proxies are like whack-a-mole lol. gotta test yourself and stay flexible. ever had a big burn with any of them?

15 providers and I still cant find one that actually delivers good ROI without crazy prices or weird limits.

Disagree, I think you might be missing out on Geosurf, it's not perfect but for cpa and small aff stuff they got decent speeds and legit IPs without insane costs. ymmv tho, always test yourself.

bruh, yeah u gotta test but don't sleep on the big boys like BrightData or Oxylabs. sometimes u pay more but the stability and reach can save ur ass in long run. ymmv tho, always crunch ur numbers

Yeah exactly stability matters more than just cheap prices sometimes especially if u running smth critical, downtime costs u more than a few extra bucks. long term reliability beats cutting corners every time

Been doing this 3 years, tried all three and honestly, BrightData was a pain to deal with at first but once u get past the onboarding, the stability and IP pool saved me a lot of headaches. smartproxy was cheaper but crashed more often. Oxylabs? solid but pricey lol.

different angle: yeah, stability's key but u gotta consider if their IP pools are fresh enough for what u need. sometimes the cheap options are not that bad if u can switch IPs quick. long term, u might be better off with the cheaper stuff if u stay smart about it.

quick thought: totally agree, uptime's everything if u running legit stuff, no point saving a few bucks if ur service crashes all the time, gotta weigh stability over price for real.

just my 2 cents: all three got their pros and cons but u gotta think about ur specific use case. if stability and big IP pools matter most, BrightData might be worth the hassle but if quick switching and cheaper price are key, smartproxy or oxylabs could work. ymmv tho, test a bit before settling.

been doing this 3 years, and just a heads up - OP, u gotta fix your title, it's BrightData not BrightData's. makes it confusing when ppl are searching or discussing. just a tiny thing but can make a difference.

ever tried SerpApi? I switched over recently, and honestly the speed and stability made my life way easier, especially when scraping at scale. Just a thought if you haven't checked it out yet.
