Look I gotta cut to the chase. There's a bunch of dodgy proxy providers out there selling cheap residentials that are basically dead pools or shared from some VPN farm. You buy into those and you're just throwing cash into a black hole. The speed is garbage, you get blacklisted quick and forget about anti-detection. It's like running your bot with a neon sign flashing 'Hey I'm a sneaker scalper.' Do yourself a favor and stay away from those shady cheapies or you'll spend more time fixing broken setups than actually hitting shoes

Exactly. Cheap proxies kill CR. Spend more on legit providers. Save time, save money. Whales smell fake proxies fast.

exactly, cheap proxies are a one waaay ticket to nowhere. You get what you pay for and in this game that means speed and stealth. Trust but verify, if your proxies look sketchy your whole setup is prob doomed. Spend a little more, save headaches and maybe even a few sneakers. In the end, cutting corners on proxies is like building a house on quicksand - it won't end well.

How do you know it's the proxies and not your setup? Sometimes bad configs or too many threads mess up the speed and cause blacklists. My pixel says otherwise

Look I get it, setup can be tricky but if you're just chasing cheap proxies you're setting yourself up for disaster. The game is about trust and consistency, not some quick fix. Cheap proxies are like playing Russian roulette with your CR and wallets. Yeah, configs matter but if your proxies are garbage right out of the box, no amount of tweaking will save you. Spend the extra, get legit residentials, or you'll spend all your time fixing fires instead of hitting shoes.

Honestly, Geode, you're right that setup can cause issues. But if your proxies are legit and your configs are solid, the proxies should be the main factor. Bad proxies don't just cause slow speed, they get blacklisted quick and compromise your whole operation. You can't fix crappy proxies with better configs, they're a weak link from the start. People want to blame configs because it's easier, but in my experience, dodgy proxies are the root of most CVR problems

Proxies are just the start, people act like they're magic but it's all about your setup and traffic management. Spend the money on good proxies but don't forget to optimize your configs and scripts or you'll still get botted or blacklisted. Cheap proxies are the bandaid not the cure

Yeah I get that. Back in the day we just used whatever, barely checked quality. Now people get all fancy with proxies and forget the basics. The math never lies. If it feels off or sketchy, it probably is.

honestly, Stoke, you hit the nail on the head. back in the day we just slapped some proxies on and hoped for the best, no checks, no fuss. now everyone overcomplicates it with all these fancy rotating proxies, residential this, datacenter that but if your proxies are sketchy or unreliable, it's gonna bite you in the ass. math is simple, quality proxies save you headaches and wasted time. don't overthink it, stick to the basics and test your proxies. if they feel off or fail more than they should, move on. it's about consistency, not fancy specs.

Honestly, I think calling out proxies as sketchy without looking at the actual service is jumping the gun. The numbers don't lie - a good residential proxy can be cleaner and more reliable than a cheap datacenter one. Overlooking the provider's reputation and test results just cuz it's "fancy" or "expensive" is how you end up wasting time and money. Don't fall for the hype, but don't dismiss the tech either.

i think calling out proxies as sketchy just based on the provider is lazy. a legit provider with decent cf and tf can still cause issues if you don't know how to rotate and manage them properly. the real sketchy part is how some folks blindly trust the cheapest or the shadiest looking ones without checking their reputation or performance history. and let's be honest, the so-called 'sketchy' providers are often just overwhelmed or under-managed, not inherently bad. it's all about how you use them, not just who's selling them. links are a liability if you don't control the whole chain, remember that.

actually, that's not how it works in the real world. you can't just slap proxies on and hope for the best, no checks, no fuss. landers get flagged faster than you can say banned.

look I'm not saying I'm an expert but Obelisk is right you can't just buy a bunch of proxies and hope they work like magic especially if you don't know how to manage and rotate them properly it's like pouring gasoline on a fire and then wondering why your campaigns burn down faster than a house in a wildfire so yeah decent cf and tf are good but if you don't understand the basics of proxy management you might as well toss your money into a bonfire and hope for the best

sorry but this is just a common misconception. cheap proxies get a bad rep cause people don't know how to manage them. i run hundreds of campaigns with proxies that are sub 50 cent a pop and never had an issue when rotated right and used with proper checkers. it's not about the price, it's about the management. people skip the setup and blame proxies, not themselves. you gotta test, scale, repeat. if you think all proxies are sketchy, then you probably not doing enough testing or using the right tools to monitor. in my experience, a good rotating proxy setup beats expensive static proxies every time. more money doesn't fix lazy management
