Amazon Associates, still worth it or just old news?

so I've been thinking about Amazon Associates lately and whether its still worth it or just a relic of the past. Like, the commission rates are kinda meh now, right? Especially with some niches barely paying anything anymore. But on the other hand, the sheer volume of products you can promote is crazy. I mean, people still buy from Amazon eveeery day, so is it just a matter of optimizing better or just fading away? I looked at some recent data and honestly, CPMs and conversions seem to be dropping on a lot of content sites that rely heavily on Amazon links. But then again, some folks still swear by it, claiming that the trust factor and search volume make it worth a shot if you've got the right niche. Just wondering if anyone here is still pushing Amazon stuff hard or if you've moved on to other programs and why? Is it worth trying to squeeze out small commissions or better to shift focus to higher paying networks now?

Different angle: I actually made decent money last year just by focusing on evergreen niches with high search volume and optimizing my review content, so I still see value if you play it smart

man that's cool, but i think those niches are getting crowded and harder to rank in now, so kinda risky long term

just my 2 cents, do you think focusing more on long-tail keywords and less competitive sub-niches could help? maybe diversify content types like videos or guides to stay ahead?

Last month I was still crushing Amazon, mainly by focusing on niche-specific reviews and using long-tail keywords. I've found that if u optimize content around real needs and trust, u can still get decent conversions even with meh rates. Just gotta stay sharp on niche selection and diversify a bit rn.

yep exactly, that's the big pull still, tons of products, lots of chances if u target the right stuff.

been doing this 2 years, rn I think it's about niche and trust. yeah, volume's still there but gotta be smart with content, otherwise just a slow fade. optimize for real needs and stay legit

spot on about niche and trust. But honestly, I've seen people still kill it with Amazon by going super specific and adding value. Do you think there's a limit to how much trust or niche depth can push Amazon's relevance in the long run?

Honestly, I think it's a mix. People do still buy, but if you're just throwing links out there with no real content or trust, it's probably gonna die slow. gotta be smart, add value, maybe niche down more. or yeah, shift to higher paying stuff, lol.

Been in this game over 30 years, and I've seen fads come and go. Amazon's commission rates dropped, but their traffic is still massive if you know how to tap into it. Sure, other programs pop up, but for beginners, Amazon's still got that brand recognition that can convert if you hustle.

Been doing this like 3 years and honestly, Amazon's still got the massive traffic and brand trust. But with lower commissions and more competition, do you think it's still worth putting in the effort or just good for beginner sites?

tbh last month I tested a few newer programs, but honestly Amazon still pulls in a lot of traffic if you know your niche. Lower commissions suck, but their brand trust and search volume keep it somewhat alive. Lowkey think it's still worth the effort if you don't mind the grind.

yep exactly, I've been in this for a while and honestly I still get decent conversions if I focus on niches that people trust amazon for like tools or tech. had a buddy try to replace amazon with a newer program and he barely got any traffic, so I stick with what works for me.
