Amazon Associates - Still worth it or dead?

hey i talked about amazon assoc before but man its wild right now. gotta say dont lean on it too hard these days. they keep changin rules slashing commissions and payments take forever. i know people who got screwed out of hundreds cause payouts are so slow. my advice spread your stuff around dont use just that one thing. also the cookie time is like nothing now so its pretty useless unless someone buys right away. tbh amazon isnt like the old days anymore. keep an eye on your money and dont get cozy with it.

Haha yeah, I remember when I made a sale with a 24-hour cookie and was hyped. Now it's like 1-4 hours max, makes it a lot tougher to get those "slow browsers." I had one guy buy in 2 days and missed out because of that.

nah, gotta correct u tho, it's "slashed commissions" not "slashing commissions" lol. but yeah, totally agree amazon aint what it used to be.

Careful with lumping all Amazon stuff into the same basket. I actually still make decent cpa from them if I focus on niches where quick buys happen. Cookie time being short sucks but if your traffic is hot enough, it's still worth a shot.

they keep changin rules slashing commissions and payments take forever, yeah but how are you actually tracking your ROI tho? seems like a headache with all these changes

bruh I did that once, put all eggs in one basket with amazon and then boom they changed rules, payout got delayed for weeks. now I spread my links around like crazy. never wanna get caught off guard again lol.

I gotta say I disagree with that. I've been riding Amazon's wave for years and honestly, if you know how to niche down and target the right audience, you can still pull decent commissions. The key is not just spreading links around but actually understanding what converts fast and focusing on those products. That cookie being short? Yeah, but if you optimize your landing pages for quick action, it's still manageable. Honestly, the real money is in understanding your traffic and tweaking accordingly, not just tossing links everywhere and hoping for the best.

100% agree with that. like, amazon's commission rates dropped from around 8-10% to 3-4% for many categories, and the cookie window? smh. what's your go-to alternative network now? i've been messing with a few smaller ones but not sure if they're worth it.

Did you know amazon's commission rate drops to as low as 1% in some categories, so is it really worth the hustle anymore? I tried it last year and honestly felt like I was better off just using it as a link cloaker for other stuff.

Haha yeah, but the real kicker is the OP said amazon associates are still worth it or dead, like they're a zombie or something. I remember when I first signed up I thought I hit the jackpot, now I feel like I'm just feeding a slow dying beast.

Lol yeah, they're basically the walking dead at this point. Feels like if you ain't already invested heavy, it's just not worth the effort anymore smh.

quick thought: that line's kinda funny but also kinda true. amazon affiliates do feel like they're limping around, not quite dead but not exactly thriving either. ymmv but if you're just starting out, the low payout and tough competition make it kinda pointless to invest a lot of time.

spot on. amazon affs are def limping around, kinda like they're just hangin on by a thread lol. not dead but def not the goldmine it used to be. idk if it's still worth full time but if you just wanna dabble, it's still kinda there.

careful with thinking amazon is dead, its still got some juice if u know how to play it. ive made decent cpa from it but yeh, the heyday is gone lol. might be worth just a side hustle now tho. peace out.
