hello all. so i've been bouncing around this idea in my head all morning after finally snagging an offer that felt a little different. it's either ask the AM straight up for an exclusive or try to sweeten the deal with a bigger volume push. no clear winner, just raw data and gut feeling here. on one hand, asking directly feels kinda risky but maybe it's worth it for the exclusivity and cleaner payouts, less competition. on the other hand, pushing volume might get you some but then again if they see your scale, they could ghost or worse, lock you out of the offer altogether. let me share a real story i once tried asking an AM for an exclusive for a big niche i was diving into. they hemmed and hawed, but i kept pushing with a small volume to prove i was serious. ended up getting a semi-exclusive for a couple of weeks which boosted my conversions but then they just took it off the table. so what does that tell us? maybe they're testing us, maybe they're just not into giving up exclusives unless you have a crazy track record. now, pushing volume feels safer but it's also more transparent. the moment you start scaling hard on a non-exclusive, you're risking a price drop or a sudden cutoff if they see someone else coming in hot. honestly, the middle ground might be asking for a trial period or a test deal, then negotiating for exclusivity after proven results. just raw thoughts, if anyone has cracked this code or if you've been burned asking outright. the game seems all about timing, confidence, and maybe a little bit of luck.

asking outright is a rookie mistake. you think they're just gonna hand over exclusives on a silver platter because you ask nicely? nah. it's all about and long game not some damn short-term ask. if you want exclusivity you better have the data, the track record, and the cojones to push hard when it counts.

Haha yeah, that part always gets me. If you want exclusivity, you better have the data, the track record, and maybe a little bit of patience. Asking straight up without that? rookie move. It's a long game and most AMs are testing if you can deliver long term

let me 'clarify' that asking outright for exclusives is almost never a good move, especially if you don't have the data to back it up. AMs see through that quick. They want to see consistent scale, proof of conversions, and a track record of delivering. Pushing volume can be safer but only if you're prepared for the potential price drops or even getting cut off if you hit thier limits. The story you shared about getting a semi-exclusive then losing it is pretty typical. They're testing your ability to deliver before handing over the keys. The middle ground of a trial or test deal then negotiating for exclusivity after proven results is usually the smarter play. Timing is everything in this game, and patience beats jumping the gun.

Pushing volume can be safer but only if you'r
Pushing volume can be safer but only if you're smart about it. You don't just flood the offer and hope for the best. You build credibility, prove you can convert, and stay under the radar till you get that trust. Once they see you are serious and reliable, the AM might be more inclined to offer exclusives or at least more favorable terms. But if you go in guns blazing without the data or a proven track record, you'll just get flagged and possibly cut off faster than you can say "double CPA". It's all about playing the long game, not throwing volume at the wall and hoping something sticks. Keep your scale controlled and show value before asking for the crown jewels.

As much as I get the patience game, I gotta say asking for an exclusive straight up is not a rookie mistake if you got the data to back it. It's about timing and confidence. If you walk in w/o proof, yeah it looks desperate but if you come with conversions, proof of scale and a plan, then it's not asking for a favor, it's negotiating from strength. AMs respect that. Pushing volume is a slow grind but it's not the only way. Sometimes they just want to see you're serious, not just throwing traffic at them. I've gotten better deals by showing I can deliver and then asking for the exclusives once I prove I can. Asking for a trial period or test deal can also be a good move if you wanna play the long game without risking everything upfront. Garbage in, garbage out but sometimes you gotta put your chips on the table.

Sketch's right about that. Asking for exclusivity without proof is like showing up empty-handed and expecting a handshake. data, track record, patience...

Getting exclusives from your AM sounds nice but do you really think they're gonna give you a legit exclusive or just a rebranded version of something they already push? Most of those exclusives are just tricks to make you feel special while they keep pushing the same old stuff elsewhere.

Getting exclusives from your AM: Which route to go
Getting exclusives from your AM, smh people act like it's some magic button. imo most of those exclusives are just rebrands, especially in nutra and sweepstakes. the AMs want you to think you got some secret sauce but it's just marketing tricks. if it works for you cool but don't think it's some golden ticket. most 'exclusives' are just the same LPs under a different name. work on your creatives and targeting instead. that's where the real money is

Flex, I get where you're coming from but I think you're missing the bigger picture. Exclusives do matter if they actually convert and scale. Rebrands are just a part of the game, and a good AM will know how to them into real profit.

nah man i dunno about that rebrands are just rebrands like sure some can be good but most of the time they just slap a new label on the same product and call it a day honestly if the offer doesn't actually bring something new or better to the table what's the point i think most of the real profit comes from finding the right angle and audience not just hoping a rebrand magically makes everything better lol

Getting exclusives is just a shiny object. Most of the time it's just a label swap or a tweak. Real exclusives actually move the needle, the rest is smoke and mirrors.

Getting exclusives from your AM: Which route to go
getting exclusives from your AM is just another layer of noise honestly most of the time it's just rebrands or slight tweaks not worth chasing if you ask me the real juice is in understanding the offer's profit ceiling and how much you can scale not some shiny label change or who you got it from the difference in ROI and EPC can be massive if you focus on the actual quality and traffic quality not the exclusivity label and if you think about it, any legit exclusives worth chasing will show up in your data once you test enough so chasing the 'route' is just wasting time that could be better spent optimizing and scaling what's already proven in your dataset

Getting exclusives is often just a shiny object chase. Been there, burned that ad budget chasing rebrands or label swaps. The real is understanding the offer, its profit ceiling, and how far you can push it before hitting a wall. Exclusives can help if they actually add value, but most of the time they don't move the needle enough to justify the hassle.

Getting exclusives from your AM is just a rabbit hole most of the time. You're overcomplicating it. It's about knowing the offer, not some label swap or rebrand. If you got a good handle on the GEO, CR, and profit ceiling, the exclusives are just icing. Focus on scaling what works, not chasing shiny objects
