so, listen. all of 2024 has been test-driving offers from the 'exclusive' club, the ones that make you fill out a novel of an ap. finally got the numbers lined up to compare. network alpha: average cpa of $18.50, network bravo: $21.75, network... let's call it charlie: a whopping $12.30 after clawbacks and 'adjustments'. i ran identical creatives across the same pbn tier for 30 days. you know what the real kicker is? the epc on the 'c tier' network was 20% BETTER for the first two weeks before they throttled conversions. classic. they all share the same damn offers, just with different logos on the dashboard. most seo 'experts' are just repackaging public data and selling it as insight, and honestly, these elite networks are doing the same with offers. my advice? the approval is just a first step - you need to track the post-approval payouts for at least 45 days before committing any real traffic. i'll post a scrubbed csv snippet if anyone wants to see the weekly crumble on network charlie, it's almost funny.

I get what you're saying about the exclusives but honestly I think the idea of "filling out a novel" is kinda overplayed most legit networks keep it simple and transparent now it's all about real data not some circus act of long forms and exclusivity that's more hype than substance and as you pointed out the payout patterns are the real game so don't get blinded by the fancy dashboards and logos focus on the numbers that matter and keep testing with eyes wide open that's the real secret to avoiding the classic trap of shiny object syndrome

Filling out a novel of an application is just a smoke screen. Real data, real payouts, that's what matters. those "elite" networks? 20% better EPC for two weeks then throttling, classic move. CPC is king but not if they kill the conversion flow after a few days. You want reliable? Native ads and direct, honest placements. They don't throttle and they stay sustainable.

You're leaving money on the table if you chase shiny objects like that. all these networks are just different logos on the same offer. track that payout long term and stop falling for the hype.

exactly, it's all about the long game and good data. those so-called elite networks are just copying the same offer with a fresh coat of paint, then throttling once they smell profit. can't trust the shiny logo or fancy dashboard. tracking payouts over 45 days? that's the real MVP move.

Cool story bro but you sure you're not just measuring different things or missing some key tracking parts? Networks can play with attribution windows or postback setup and suddenly your data looks hilarious. I'd double check your setup before calling it a difference in reality.

In my humble, and prob wrong, opinion, networks tweaking attribution or setup can cause weird data but sometimes I think the raw numbers just tell a different story. No matter how much you double check, some gaps or hidden tricks are just part of the game. Data's data till it isn't.

Data's data till it isn't
data's data till it isn't my man if you're not tracking every click and view accurately you're just guessing the numbers are lying to you more than Zuck's grandma at a bingo game you gotta get surgical with your pixel or don't even bother comparing apples to oranges

No matter how much you double check, some gap
Double checking helps but some gaps are just built into the system, especially with networks playing tricks. Seen this movie before, and no matter how much you verify, some data will always be a little fuzzy

Haha, sounds like you stumbled onto the lottery of data randomness. Back in the day, I used to think data was a solid, black-and-white thing. Turns out, it's more like trying to read tea leaves in a hurricane. Networks play their little tricks, attribution windows shift like they're doing the moonwalk and suddenly your numbers look like they're on a magic carpet ride. I've seen the same, where you get one set of data that makes you wanna throw your laptop out the window and then a different set that's more like bedtime stories for grownups. Honestly, I stopped trusting the numbers a long time ago and started focusing on what actually makes me money. You can chase down every pixel and fiddle with attribution till the cows come home, but if your funnel ain't converting, the data's just a pretty picture. I'd say, get surgical with your pixel, run your own tests, and don't put too much faith in the shiny numbers networks throw at you., if you're making LTV and CPA work, that's the real story.

got my data from three a-list networks, the difference is hilarious
I gotta say, from my experience, the "hilarious" part is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Those a-list networks are notorious for their tricks and weird attribution gaps. U really can't trust the numbers blindly, especially if u want good quality leads. In my world, phone-verified leads are the only ones worth paying for, and even then, u gotta be on top of your tracking.

Got to ask though, if the data from these so called a-list networks is so "hilarious" and obviously inconsistent, why are people still dumping big budgets into them like they're gospel? Been there, tested that, if you don't have your own tracking and cross-checks, you're just chasing ghosts. How are you even sure what's real anymore?

OP, I gotta say, the difference in data from those networks is probably less hilarious and more a sign of how much noise and contamination is baked in. Relying on a-list networks blindly is a gamble, not gospel. Data's always a little fuzzy, but you should be more cautious about trusting those numbers without solid validation

Here's the thing, networks feed you what they want to feed you, not what's real. If your data's hilarious, maybe it's time to stop trusting those numbers and start trusting your gut. The data's just noise unless you know how to filter out the BS.

haha, yeah, the "hilarious" part hits home. Been there, seen those numbers swing like a pendulum. Networks love to throw shiny stats but, your own tracking and data filtering are what keep you sane. Trust your gut more than their numbers, or you'll just chase shadows all day. The ROI is in the details you control.

shunt, appreciate the heads up but trust me, these differences are too big for attribution tweaks alone. did a on the click paths and timestamp discrepancies, and honestly, the raw numbers still look like they came from a different planet. will keep digging but yeah, sometimes data just refuses to match up no matter what.
