Dealing with ghosting affiliate managers, is it just part of the game now?

So I'm new to all this and just got told to reach out to a new affiliate manager. Guess what? No reply. I mean I get it, the industry can be a mess but it feels like every time I try to get serious with one of these guys, they vanish faster than my traffic on a bad day. Everyone seems to say oh it's just part of the business, deal with it. But seriously, is ghosting just the norm now or am I missing something? Back in the day you could at least get a quick reply and some support. Now I feel like I gotta beg just to get a yes or no. Is this how it's supposed to be or am I doing something wrong? what others are experiencing because I really wanna build something here but this ghosting stuff is making me question if this is worth it at all.

Let me tell you a little story... I remember when I first started, I thought if I just reached out enough, they'd all become best friends. Turns out, the industry is like that creak old house - full of secrets, ghosts and the occasional rat. You gotta pick your battles, and honestly, a lot of these managers are just riding the wave, not building anything real. Ghosting is kinda the norm now, but that doesn't mean you gotta play by their weird rules.

Lol, ur taking the 'reach out more' advice too seriously. More messages won't turn a ghost into a partner. Industry's just cooked now, everyone's busy LARPing, nobody's actually there to help. If ur relying on that kind of outreach for real support, ur already behind. Ghosting's the norm, deal with it or move on.

That's just friction talking. More messages don't turn ghosts into partners but if you're getting zero reply after 10, 15, even 20 touches then you're doing something wrong. Numbers don't lie.

thanks Monolith for sharing that story. It's like dating in the digital age, right? Sometimes no matter how many texts you send, they just ghost. I guess you gotta accept some things are beyond our control and move on.

Color me skeptical that ghosting is just part of the game. In my experience, it's mostly lazy or a sign they're already over it. If they wanted to work with you, they'd reply - simple as that. All this ghosting makes me think they're scared you'll uncover something or just not worth their time. I've had better luck with direct outreach on my own, cuts out the middleman BS.

Ghosting is lazy, not part of the game. If they want you, they hit back.
That's one way to look at it. But sometimes even when they want to hit back, they don't because they know the game and the risk of burning bridges. Ghosting could be strategic or just lazy, not always laziness.

Part of the game. More like part of the BS.
yeah but if it was just part of the game we'd all accept it, right? in my world, ghosting is a footprint or a signal. if they ghost you, they're prob scared you'll find out how shallow their campaign is or how little they actually want to work. show me the data or it didn't happen.

Dealing with ghosting affiliate managers, is it ju
Ghosting is the new normal. Happens all the time. If they ghost you, move on fast. No point wasting time chasing shadows. Better off finding managers who actually reply. Your time is money.

ghosting is just part of the game now but honestly if they ghost me i just move on. got better things to spend my time on. if a manager can't even reply, how serious are they about the offers? i'd rather find ones who reply fast and know their stuff. this game is all about efficiency.

nah bro.. feels like ghosting is just part of the game now but honestly if they ghost you it means they ain't serious about the offers. better off chasing managers who actually reply, saves you time and headache.

got better things to spend my time on
but isn't that a bit short-sighted? sometimes you gotta chase the ghost a little to see if there's a real offer behind it or just dead air. not every ghost is a waste, maybe just a sign to get better at filtering. maybe ghosting is a test of your patience and how much you value your own time. or maybe its just laziness but i dunno, sometimes digging a little deeper pays off.

Yeah moving on is smart low overhead wins. If they ghost once they probably ghost again and that wastes your time. Better focus on managers who reply fast and know their stuff. Time is money.

ghosting is just noise in the game now if they ghost once they will ghost again and that kills your ROI focus on the ones who reply fast and know their stuff it's a PITA chasing dead air anyway better to validate every offer before investing real money otherwise you're just throwing money at garbage data and hoping for a miracle

okay, but what if ghosting isn't just part of the game but a sign your vetting process is broken? maybe you chasing ghosts is just a mirror of your own setup.

source: i broke it myself. if you can't read a TCP dump or spot signs of legit offer vs dead air, you're just throwing money at shadows. sometimes ghosting is a wake up call not a game.

RIP inbox if you think ghosting is all on the affiliate side. IMO if you get ghosted a lot, maybe your vetting process sucks or you're chasing too much dead air. Sometimes you gotta read the signs, and not just assume everyone's ghosting for no reason. Could be your pitch, your timing, or just bad luck. But yeah, if your setup is broken, you're just wasting time trying to fix ghosts instead of fixing your approach. Been there, done that. Focus on quality signals, not just hoping for the best

Honestly, I think ghosting is just part of the game now, but if u ask me, it's also a reflection of how u approach ur outreach. If ur sending blanket messages and not personalizing, ur gonna get ghosted more often. In my experience, good vetting and building real rapport beats chasing dead air all day. Ghosting happens, but if ur constantly chasing shadows, maybe ur process needs a rework.

Cool story bro. Maybe your vetting is so broken you might as well be chasing ghosts in a haunted house. Anyway, back to my PBN.

I've seen this movie before. Ghosting has become so common I sometimes wonder if affiliate managers are just upgrading to invisibility cloaks. Honestly, chasing ghosts in this game is like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands. Sometimes it's your own fault - maybe your outreach sounds like a generic spam email or your vetting process is so lax that anyone with a pulse gets a shot. But truth be told, some of it is just the nature of the beast. People get busy, or they're playing a game of hide and seek that they're winning most days. If you think ghosting is a sign you're doing it wrong, maybe you're missing the bigger picture. This industry is a war of attrition and a lot of times, the only thing you really control is your own approach and patience. Meanwhile, the ghosts keep haunting the backend.
