Alright so I keep seeing the same two camps either people screaming PBNs are dead because Google slapped their site which fair or the other side selling courses on how theyre the only way to rank and its just making my head hurt my stats say otherwise but I cant tell if Im the exception you know Like I built a small network last year ten sites all on different hosts good content not that AI slop and for my money sites in non-yellow niches theyve been holding strong for six months but the second I tried to use them on a finance blog it got deindexed in like two weeks so is it just niche dependent now or is the whole thing a time bomb I see guys buying expired domains and spamming out links and ranking but for how long my gut says the risk is way up but the data from my safe niches is still green confused doesnt even cover it maybe Im just seeing what I want to see

Don @ me but I think you're kinda onto smth but also missing a big piece. Like sure, I get it, some niches hold up, but the second you go into finance or more high-stakes stuff, PBNs just get ghosted fast. I lowkey believe it's more about how you build and manage them. Like, if you're using a sloppy, spammy PBN, of course Google's gonna slap it down. But if you're legit about it, niche dependent or not, it can last longer. The risk? Yeah, it's high, but it's always been that way. Just my two cents, but I think people forget that Google's always tweaking and trying to crack down, so it's never truly a safe forever thing, just more about how you play it
Yeah I mean I built a legit network last year too, all different hosts, good content, no AI junk, and it's been solid for most niches except finance where it got slapped hard quick so I think it's just about niche sensitivity and how you keep them low profile but honestly sometimes it feels like playing Russian roulette with Google the way they keep changing the rules

Yeah, sure, but if you're still betting the farm on that, you're probably just delaying the inevitable. Trust, but verify, and remember split testing without a proper hypothesis is just throwing money into the wind. If you want longevity, build something that doesn't rely on shady shortcuts. PBNs are like a hangover - fun at first but always a bad idea in the long run.

hard disagree. legit traffic and real growth are nice but they take forever and are expensive. i found that split-testing offers and micro-copy tweaks on landing pages gets way faster cpc and ctr improvements. PBNs still work if you know how to keep them low profile. real growth is a game of speed and volume, not just content

lol honestly i tried to run some PBNs last year just to see if they still had juice and smh it was a nightmare the domains were dodgy as hell and the risk was just not worth it i mean if you got the time and budget to keep that game up maybe but for me legit traffic and fast wins are the way to go always works until it doesn't tho lfg

I think a lot of folks are just tired of the hype and want to believe there's some shortcut. But in my experience, PBNs in 2025 are still a tool, not a magic wand
