sooo ive been using mullvad for a while and tbh its kinda slept on. setup is stupid easy just generate an account no email needed and u can pay with crypto if you want. they keep no logs no leaks, it runs on wireguard which is fast and secure. speeds are good for streaming or torrenting never had throttling issues. best part they have a self-hosted thing if u want full control over everything. perfect if youre paranoid about data but still need a vpn that works. like a quiet hero for privacy geeks trying to dodge the big corp trackers

Pro tip - if you really wanna go full paranoia mode, run that self-hosted setup on a VPN inside a VPN. kinda like layering privacy. have you tried that or is it overkill?

20% of privacy geeks I know swear by double VPN layering with Mullvad, but honestly I think if you keep your system clean and avoid leaks, one solid VPN like Mullvad is enough, tf.

bruh I've been using Mullvad for a minute, ran a self-hosted on my seedbox and tbh it's kinda peace of mind, feels way more locked down. never got leaks or slowdowns, and it's chill knowing I control it all. makes me wonder why more folks don't do the same.

if you wanna boost that privacy even more, try using a DNS over HTTPS provider like NextDNS or Cloudflare DNS with DNSSEC enabled. it adds an extra layer of obfuscation to your traffic and keeps your DNS queries private, ymmv.

appreciate the tips, guys. yeah i've seen some do the VPN-on-VPN thing, but tbh for me, mullvad's enough if u keep system tight and avoid leaks. layering might be overkill unless ur super paranoid. self-hosting on a seedbox sounds smart tho, more control is always good.

bruh, ppl still sleeping on Mullvad huh? lowkey solid, just not flashy enough to catch the mainstream eyes. privacy wise, it's pretty decent, no bs.

different angle: ppl sleepin on Mullvad's logging policy tho, zero logs kept since 2009, that's rare lowkey. security features? like no personal data required to sign up, just an account number, that's kinda dope

Been doing this like 3 years and I gotta say, Proton is cool but Mullvad's simplicity and no logs policy still got that trust factor. Proton's security is good but I don't need all the bells and whistles

last month i tried Mullvad after hearing all the hype and honestly it's pretty solid, lowkey. i like how no personal info needed to sign up and the no logs policy is real, like they really keep it simple and private. for me it's kinda slept on but it's reliable and i don't gotta worry about my data being sold or anything

yeah, that's the real kicker, no email or personal info needed to start using Mullvad, keeps it super private right from the jump. plus, their payment options are kinda lowkey too, like cash or crypto, so no paper trail.

yo just my 2 cents, u sure Mullvad is really simple or just minimal? sometimes less info needed means more hassle later if somethings wrong. u think they actually keep all that privacy promise?

Only used Mullvad for like 2 weeks but I found it kinda slow sometimes and the app felt kinda clunky, not gonna lie. Plus, I read they keep some logs for like 14 days which is kinda sus for a privacy-focused VPN. smh, maybe it's solid for some but I wasn't fully convinced lol.

Been doing this 10+ years and I gotta disagree. Mullvad's speed and stability have been solid for me. Yeah, apps can feel kinda basic but they do the job. And about logs, their policy is clear, they don't keep logs that matter for privacy.

I gotta disagree, Mullvad's been pretty reliable for me speed-wise and their privacy policy seems legit. App might be minimal but it does the job, no major probs so far.
