so ive seen lots of talk about datacenter stuff being useless cause they get flagged all the time. did my own test on a fresh batch just messing around scraping product listings. used 500 ips from some cheap provider cost me like 30 bucks. sent 10k requests to a big ecom site known for good bot detection. got blocked after about 1200 requests that actually went through. so like 76% fail rate. the ones that worked all happened in the first hour then everything just dropped dead. then i compared that to some residential ips i keep for testing. same target, 50 ips, cost me around 45 bucks for 5 gigs. success rate was like 92% over 5k requests. yeah way more expensive per request but they actually kept working. so basically conclusion? datacenter is fine for quick bursts, low-stakes stuff where you don't need stuff to last long or be super reliable. if you want volume or to last longer you gotta pay more. ymmv depending on target but those are my numbers.
 
different angle: maybe try rotating proxies more frequently during your quick burst to beat the detection drop-off, that way you might get a longer run before they all tank. consistency in changing IPs could help you stretch those cheap datacenter ones a bit more. stay sneaky, my friend.

nah, I call BS on datacenter being just for quick hits. yeah they get flagged quick, but with smarter rotation and maybe some proxy pools that aren't totally cheap junk, you can stretch that out a bit. proven myself many times, just gotta stay ahead of the detection game.

I was using higher quality datacenter proxies and rotating them every few requests, and I still got flagged after about 600 requests. So yeah, I think it kinda depends on how u set things up. Just throwing cheap proxies at it and expecting them to last is kinda naive.
 
Haha, yeah but bruh, that's the thing. Even with smart rotation, datacenter proxies are like throwaway lollipops. they might last a lil longer but not much, tf? If you want consistent, reliable, you gotta pay up or go residential. Rotation just masks the death, it don't stop it.

been doing this 3 years and honestly, datacenter proxies still feel like a gamble. detection rates bounce all over the place, and I doubt it's just provider stuff. sometimes I think they got better at hiding, other times it feels like pure luck.
