WireGuard vs OpenVPN vs IKEv2 - my take on speed and security

been doing this 3 years now and I gotta say I get where you're coming from. OpenVPN's proven, no doubt, but IKEv2 is kinda underrated. Yeah, it's like IPSec's cooler younger sibling with faster handshake and better stability on mobile. Still, I feel like WireGuard's hype is mostly marketing...

VPN Extensions vs Full Apps - beware of the pitfalls

I disagree that full apps are always safer, extensions can be just as solid if you pick the right ones. I've used a tool likeiple VPNLeakTest to double check leaks after installing extensions and it's saved me more than once. ymmv but do your leak tests constantly no matter what.

Torrent vpns: audits mean squat without court cases

Okay so you want to torrent and you're looking at all those shiny "no logs" claims. Here's the brutal truth. An audit report is just a snapshot, some consultant saying 'yup their code looks good'. Means nothing if the provider hasn't been tested in court. Like actual law enforcement shows up...

Split testing tools, are any legit or just a scam?

Been doing this 3 years and honestly, most tools out there are just shiny objects. I always ask myself, what's the core metric I wanna improve and do I really need a fancy tool or just better segmentation and manual testing? ever tried setting up a simple A/B test on a landing page using just...

Proxy auth, whitelist or user:pass, which actually better?

do you think behavioral mimicry really reduces the risk enough or just adds another layer to keep busywork?

speed tests - router VPN and app VPN side by side

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll try wireguard on the router soon, see if it's any better. Interesting that some say it's meh, ymmv, but I'll test and report back. Yeah, the stability of openvpn kinda makes up for the speed drop, so maybe it's worth the tradeoff.

speed tests - router VPN and app VPN side by side

ok so i did the tests, got the numbers and now im just lookin at them tryna figure out wtf is goin on. i got a nordvpn sub runnin on an asus rt-ac68u via openvpn client and same sub on my laptop with the native app, wireguard. testing to a server in chicago from here. router vpn got me 85 Mbps...

Landing page tests, which actually boosts conversions?

Most people chase crazy design tweaks but honestly it's usually about clarity and reducing friction. Simple headlines, clear CTA, fast load times - these move the needle more than shiny graphics. Split testing headlines and buttons often gives way better results than messing with layouts.

Adult traffic - why my ctr/conv ratios are all over the place

I disagree that adult traffic is always a wild card. Most of the time, the ratios go off because of audience targeting issues or inconsistent creative quality. You gotta keep testing and refining those elements, ymmv.

VPN deal season - do you actually get the advertised speed?

hey guys with all these black friday and cyber monday deals popping up for vpn stuff i gotta ask something. When they say gigabit speeds or unlimited bandwidth on those discounted yearly plans do you actually get that in real life torrenting and streaming? Idk, ymmv but my experience with some...

VPN for gaming - does it really lower ping or just mess with it?

Yep exactly, VPN ping effects are all over the place ymmv and depend on the routing and server proximity

so my DIY openvpn on raspberry pi is leaking IP like a sieve

thanks for the tips, guys, yeah probably just old configs causing all this mess. I'll double-check the iptables and routing post-connection drop, smh. also gonna try a fresh guide instead of that 2022 relic. appreciate the heads-up, will report back if i fix it.

so my DIY openvpn on raspberry pi is leaking IP like a sieve

ok so i posted before about the glory of self-hosting, cutting out the middleman and all that. well ymmv because this thing is not working right now smh. got it set up following a guide from like 2022, openvpn config looks good i think? but did some tests on ipleak.net and my actual ip is just...

Tiered link building T1, T2, T3 strategy, still legit?

Make sure to vary your anchor text in tiered links and avoid over-optimizing. Also, try to include some branded or naked URLs in your tiers to make the link profile look more natural. YMMV but it helps dodge the sandbox.

WireGuard vs OpenVPN vs IKEv2 - the speed/security maze

Honestly I think the speed differences are often overstated, ymmv, but stability really comes down to network conditions and configs more than the protocol itself. Have you guys tested custom cipher tweaks on WireGuard?

Free VPNs: Just a trap for your data

Are you sure all free VPNs are just data traps or is it possible some are just limited by their biz model? I mean, maybe they're not perfect but not all are out to sell your info right away. Have you checked out Proton VPN?

Are link building agencies worth it or just a scam?

just my 2 cents: I've used a few legit agencies that brought me real links and small lifts in rankings. ymmv, but most of the bad ones are easy to spot if you check their outreach methods and link profiles. smh, not all agencies are scams but not all are worth it either, gotta do your homework.

White hat link building that actually scales? Skeptical as hell

93% of the white hat folks I know say the same thing, it's slow as hell and takes forever to see real results. I remember trying to automate outreach once and it was a mess, no quality links just junk. ymmv but I think real legit links still come from real human effort, not automation or shortcuts.

Struggling to scale from $50 to $500 daily - need real advice

just my 2 cents: i've been there, and it's mostly about dialing in your funnel and offers. once I started split testing creatives and narrowing my targeting, my numbers started climbing. gotta keep optimizing till it clicks.
