Cheap proxies or high quality for Google scraping? Need quick advice

Yo, so I've been testing like a million proxies for SEO tools scraping Google and honestly it's driving me nuts. Some cheap datacenter proxies seem fast but I keep getting blocked after a few requests, like they are too obvious. Then I try residential and wow the price jumps like crazy but sometimes I still get captcha or blocked even after paying for what's supposed to be good quality. It's like a constant game of buy cheap, test, get blocked, buy expensive, rinse repeat. Anyone got experience with this? Should I just go all in on the premium residentials? Or is there some sweet spot where you get good quality without breaking the bank? I need a proxy setup that's reliable, fast, and won't blow my budget. Honestly I don't care if it costs a bit more, but I need to know if there's some magic combo or provider that really works for Google scraping without too much fuss. Price vs quality what's the real deal? Appreciate quick replies I'm in a rush, trying to get this project moving fast

Yep exactly, I think the key is to mix proxies sometimes. Use cheap datacenter ones for less sensitive stuff and switch to residential only for the tricky parts. Keeps the budget in check but still dodges the blocks when it counts. ymmv lmao

You tried Oxylabs yet? They got a good mix of residential and data center proxies that actually work for Google scraping without blowing the budget.

Careful with jumping straight to premium residentials. I tried that, dropped a chunk on a provider, and still got throttled sometimes. Ended up mixing in mid-tier residentials and some quality datacenter proxies, which actually helped balance cost and success rate. Sometimes the cheap ones can surprise you, but it's all about testing small batches first. Stay sharp, proks ain't magic but testing smart helps. Catch you in the grind.

Different angle: I think the focus shouldn't be just on proxies but on session management and rotation. Even cheap proxies can work well if you rotate fast and manage sessions properly. Sometimes it's about the setup, not just the price or type of proxies. ymmv but don't sleep on tweaking your scraper code too. Keep grinding.

Yeah I've seen this happen. I used cheap proxies once and they were lightning fast at first but then Google caught on quick, and I was toast. Turns out speed isn't everything, it's how you use them. Sometimes slower, legit proxies get better results if you're sneaky

Disagree - I think session management and rotation matter but proxies are still king when it comes to Google scraping. I've tested tons of setups and even good rotation with cheap proxies won't save you if the IPs are obvious or blocked quickly.

different angle: maybe instead of just proxies, u should look into using headless browsers or tools that mimic real user behavior more closely. Google is good at spotting bots, but if u make ur traffic look more legit, proxies might not be the main issue. Sometimes a combo of good proxies + browser fingerprint masking can save u from blocks.

Careful with that. Headless browsers can work but they also get detected if you don't do it right. Plus, they slow down your scraping a lot. Best to focus on good proxies first and then consider headless if you're running high volume, but don't rely on them alone.

Proxies are just one part of the puzzle, you know. Do you also tweak your request headers and use randomized timing? sometimes small changes make a big difference in avoiding blocks. Anyone got experience with this?

Bruh, I tried some cheap proxies last month, thought I was smart but got banned quick. Ended up spending more fixing my IPs with residentials. Lesson learned, cheap ain't always cheap.

Thanks for the tips guys, I was thinking maybe mixing is the way to go, like you said. I haven't tried Oxylabs yet but I guess I should look into that, sounds promising. And yeah, I was kinda worried about just going all residential, might waste a lot of cash if it still gets throttled.

Are you worried about getting banned or just chasing quick data? From my own tests, cheap proxies can work fine for light scraping but get flaky fast if you scale up. I've seen some folks use residential proxies for heavy tasks and it's way more reliable, even if it costs a bit more.

Cheap proxies can work if you rotate fast enough and limit request rates. I've seen some legit scrapers do well with cheap IPv4s if you keep them lightweight. Don't assume high quality is always necessary

ok so go for high quality proxies if you want consistent results. Cheap ones might save cash but often lead to more CAPTCHAs and bans, especially on Google. YMMV but I've had way less headaches sticking with legit proxies.

Cheap proxies can sometimes work if you're super careful with rotation and request limits, but man, they usually cost you more in CAPTCHAs and bans in the long run. High quality proxies might be pricier but save time and headache. YMMV but I'd rather spend a bit more and keep my IPs clean.

Actually, I'd say it kinda depends on your scale. I've done small runs with cheap proxies and barely had issues, but once I got into bigger scraping projects, the cheap ones started giving me more CAPTCHAs and bans. I agree high quality proxies save headaches, but don't forget, sometimes you can get away with cheaper ones if you're super careful with rotation. Imho, it's about balancing your budget and risk tolerance.

bruh you got it backwards, cheap proxies are just gonna mess with your flow and get ya banned faster, high quality ones might cost more but save u tons of headaches. better off investing in legit proxies if u want consistent data
