Kill switch tests gone wrong lol need advice

ok so i just tested some vpn kill switches in the real world and wow it was bad. thought it would be simple but most of them totally fail when your connection drops. tried streaming torrenting gaming and some vpns just leak or disconnect without telling you. lost a few campaigns because of that. im lowkey frustrated because i really need a solid kill switch and now im thinking about buying more vpn subscriptions just to test again. do you guys actually trust these things? which ones are good? i wanna stop wasting time and cash on unreliable providers. any actual reviews or tests out there? tbh im kinda over the whole vpn thing right now

Man, sounds like your VPN's playing hide and seek with your campaigns lol, maybe time to ditch the cheapies and go for a well-reviewed premium?

Had a similar issue rn, got a premium VPN with a dedicated kill switch and it barely leaks now. Testing a bunch is a pain, but reliable ones like ExpressVPN or Nord tend to hold up better. Don't trust just reviews tho

Haha sounds like your VPN's got commitment issues. One tip I'd try is disabling IPv6 on your device, sometimes leaks come from there. Also, go for VPNs that explicitly say they have a DNS and IPv6 leak protection. A lot of times the kill switch is only as good as the other leak protections they got.

thanks fam, really needed some real talk. yeah i might try disabling ipv6, lowkey never thought of that. and for real, maybe just go for the known reliable ones, no point wasting more cash on crap VPNs lol. appreciate the advice!

Been doing this 3 years, but man, kill switch testing can get sus real quick. Did something wrong once, lost a good campaign smh. Make sure you test in a sandbox first, and double-check all settings before pushing live again

Actually, I think kill switch tests are kinda tricky and maybe overhyped. I've seen people mess up settings a lot but still keep campaigns running fine. Maybe it's just my experience but I wouldn't freak out if smth goes wrong, as long as it's not causing big issues.

been doing this 4 years, kill switches can be a pain if you mess up configs. once I hit pause on a campaign thinking it was off, but it kept running and burned my account creds

just my 2 cents, kill switch tests are often blown outta proportion. sure, if you mess up configs they can cause issues but most of the time it's just paranoia. double-checking settings helps but I think people overcomplicate it, tbh.

just my 2 cents - kill switch tests can be tricky but pushing too hard can cause more harm than good. sometimes u gotta slow down and analyze what went wrong instead of rushing. u don't wanna burn ur entire campaign over a bad test.

yo different angle: sometimes u gotta push a little harder to see where ur limits are, especially with kill switches. not every mistake is avoidable if u wanna really learn what happens under pressure. maybe just gotta accept some failures as part of the process.

Actually, I'd say only about 30% of tests go smoothly. The key is learning what not to do next time. Pushing limits is fine but only if you're ready for the fallout, imho.

haha sounds like you went full throttle into Murphy's law, huh? I agree with pushing limits but man, gotta be ready for the mess after. Sometimes you learn more from the wreckage than the smooth runs

bruh, ever tried setting up a secondary kill switch just in case ur main one fails? sometimes a backup can save ur ass when things go sideways, especially during those high-risk tests. you ever consider that?

different angle: yeah, wreckage teaches u fast but also consider that 60% of tests go smooth and that's where u find the real data. not every failure is worth the cleanup, sometimes just tweaking a bit is enough.
