PBNs in 2025, ran the numbers - surprised me

So I posted about buying links a while ago and got roasted for it. Decided to actually test out a PBN this year, mainly just to see what happens data-wise. Spent like 4 months watching 10 money sites against a control group. The data's kinda weird tho. The PBN links still boost stuff fast no doubt. But the risk factor? Way higher. Saw two of my sites get manual actions within a few weeks after scaling up. Google's recent algo updates are super good at sniffing out cheap networks now. imo, it's basically a short-term thing with a timer on it, not really worth the risk to the assets unless you're just messing around with disposable projects.

Been doing this 3 years and 100% agree, PBNs are a risky short-term move. I use SourceBox to kinda manage and spin my network better, helps keep the footprint less obvious. U gotta be

Different angle: I think the risk is why I switched to using a service like The Hoth for tiered link building, keeps it more natural and reduces the manual action risk. Been seeing better ROI and less stress.

last month I ran my own test and noticed the same thing, the boost is quick but the risk seems way higher now. Honestly, I think Google's getting smarter at sniffing out these networks,

ngl, that line hits home. same thing happened to me last month, quick boost then bam, manual action. guess google's really cracking down on these quick wins now.

been doing this 3 years and honestly, I've seen a totally different story. I run my own small PBNs and while yeah, they get you some quick gains, I've had sites survive pretty well even with some risky links. Google's always changing but not everything is a death sentence if you know what you're doing. Seems like the "risk" talk is more about hype than reality sometimes.

ok so i thought PBNs were dead, but turns out I gotta keep an eye on 'em. ran some tests last month and they still hit hard if you do em right. ymmv.

just my 2 cents: PBNs still sneaky, huh? been using em last year and they still bring in traffic if you keep em clean and not sus. anyone else noticing better results with fewer links?

PBNs not dead? smh I think everyone overhyped that. last few months I barely see any real boost from em, feels like Google's catching up.

yep exactly, if you know what you're doing PBNs still pack a punch. you gotta stay careful tho, google's always tightening the screws. ymmv but they're definitely not dead yet.
