Everyone says to split test - but what tools actually work?

Man my feed is just full of 'run a split test bro' like it's some magic trick but honestly I've tried a few of those big name platforms and the setup is so confusing. All that talk about statistical significance and then the numbers don't even match up between my tracker and their dashboard makes me think half these so called must-have tools are just overpriced spreadsheets. For someone who's not a data nerd where do you even start? Are we all just using google optimize cause it's free or is there smth easier that doesn't need a phd to figure out?

ngl bruh I was in the same boat, tried a bunch of tools, then I found VWO and it's super straightforward. No crazy stats math, just set up and go. ymmv but for noobs it's pretty chill compared to the big name stuff

Spot on that big tools are confusing but I gotta disagree. I actually found VWO way too complicated for what I needed, plus their reports were off sometimes. For noobs I think just starting with Google

Different angle: I tried just Google Optimize for a while but honestly felt like I was guessing more than testing. Ended up switching to a simple tool like Convert, which was way more visual and less math-heavy. Sometimes simplicity beats the fancy dashboards.

been doing this 1 year and honestly I feel you, most tools are just a pain in the ass with their confusing dashboards and weird stats mismatch, I ended up sticking with Google Optimize atm cause it's free and simple enough to get some basic tests going without pulling my hair out.

Been doing this 3 years and honestly I think a lot of these tools are just overhyped. Like yeah, Google Optimize is free but it's kinda basic and slow. Sometimes I feel like the real trick is just understanding your numbers and not stressing over which tool is 'best'. If you can keep it simple, you don't need all that fancy stuff.

last month I dove into VWO because everyone talks about it but honestly I found it way more complicated than needed. Ended up just doing split tests manually with a simple script and spreadsheet - way less headache and clearer data. Sometimes the simplest approach beats all those fancy tools. Keep it dumb and fast, that's my mantra. Catch you.

i swear half these tools are just glorified calculators with fancy dashboards, ymmv but sometimes the simplest way is just trust your gut and track manually.

Disagree, it's not about the tools alone. I've seen ppl get results with random free stuff, others dump $$ on fancy tools and still get meh. ymmv.

just my 2 cents, ive used stuff like Google optimize and VWO and they work but honestly the real key is understanding what to test and how to interpret results. tools are just tools, it's your strategy that makes or breaks it. had better luck when I focused

people get so hung up on tools but like, 70% of split testing success is knowing what to test and how to read data, not what tool u use lol. some of the best tests I've seen
