Rotating proxies for scraping are they really worth it?

ok so everyone's always talking up rotating proxies like they're the best thing ever for scraping but honestly how much of that is real? i tried a couple and some just seem sketchy or super slow. they say its all stealthy and you wont get banned but then i get blocked instantly lol. also the prices are wild, are they even better than sticky proxies? feels like some places just sell cheap ip pools and thats it. has anyone actually used these for a while and gotten good results? or is it just hype so they can charge more

Yeah, they're basically like paying for a fancy salad when all you wanted was a bag of chips. I've tried a few and honestly most of the time it's just luck if you get a decent IP that won't get flagged. Some of the "premium" stuff is just regular pools with a mark-up, so I don't buy into the hype unless I see consistent good results over a stretch

Careful with trusting those rotating proxies blindly. I've used them for a while and yeah, some are slow or just outright useless. Do you find any legit ones that don't cost an arm and a leg?

Have you found any that actually work well w/o breaking the bank? or is it mostly just crap and hype?

Careful with trusting cheap rotating proxies though, I tried some and they are just slow or die fast. I've seen a few legit providers that aren't crazy expensive but even then, you gotta test them yourself. Did you find any that hold up over time or is it mostly hit or miss?

Honestly, start with a free trial if you can before dropping cash. Most of these cheap rotating proxies are just repurposed IP pools and yeah they often get sketchy fast or slow down a lot. Don't trust the hype, do your own testing and see if the speed and stealth hold up over time.

disagree, imo more expensive proxies often just mean better reliability not necessarily faster or more stealthy, i've used some pricy ones that still got me banned fast if im not careful and the speeds vary wildly depending on the provider not just the cost.

Haha, yeah, proxies can be a scam sometimes. So, do you think it's more about finding the right provider or just luck?

Have I used them for a while? Yeah, I dabbled with rotating proxies a couple years back when I was scraping a big site and I gotta say, the results were kinda hit or miss. Some days they'd work smooth, other days they'd get blocked instantly and I was just throwing money at the problem. I think it really depends on the provider and how well you manage your request patterns, not just the proxy type.

Last month i tried rotating proxies for a big scrape and honestly, it was mostly a pain. I found that sticking with smaller, known providers and testing them on low volume first saved me a lot of headache. My tip is to always run a few quick tests before going all in with a new proxy service.

Honestly, I think most of the hype around rotating proxies is just that, hype. I tried a few and some were so slow or just got me blocked instantly, makes me wonder if they even do what they say. The prices are wild too, feels like they're just selling cheap IP pools and calling it magic. I haven't seen anyone run them long term and get solid results without hitting walls.

yo if you wanna test, start small and see how they perform over a few days, but don't expect miracles. most are just overpriced pools with hype to justify the cost. if they were really that good, everyone would be doing it long term without issues.
