Dedicated IP VPN - is it really safer or just hype?

ok so i posted about dedicated ips earlier yeah? seemed like a good idea for privacy and less chance of getting blacklisted with everyone else. but now im wondering if its actually safer or just marketing. people say it avoids shared ip problems but what if having your own ip makes you more exposed? like if someone gets that ip its just you, no one else sharing it. plus most vpns still keep logs anyway so youre not really anonymous. tbh these "upgrades" feel like a way to charge more w/o much real benefit. is the dedicated ip thing overhyped or am i missing something?

Spot on. Dedicated IPs can reduce blacklisting risks but don't magically make you anonymous. If privacy is your main goal, check out NordVPN - they offer a no-logs policy and dedicated IPs, plus they're legit about keeping your data private. Just remember, no VPN can fully hide you if logs are kept or if you're careless.

bruh, exactly. no matter how fancy the ip or vpn claims to be, if they keep logs or you slip up, youre still exposed. always gotta layer up with good habits and not rely solely on tech.

If you really wanna boost privacy with a dedicated IP, consider using a VPN that offers a strict no-logs policy and has good security practices. But always remember, no tech alone can make you fully anonymous, so stay cautious with what you share online and avoid login or account info that links back to you. Layer your privacy strategies instead of just relying on the IP or VPN features.

just my 2 cents, that's the truth, no tech can cover all your mistakes or make you fully invisible if you're not careful. even with dedicated IPs, if logs are kept and you're reckless, it's still a risk. nothing beats good habits and multiple layers.

i think ppl overhype the safety part lol. dedicated ip can help with reputation and avoiding shared blacklists but if the vpn logs and u slip up, still no diff. no tech makes u fully invisible, just layers.

u really think layers help when ur ip is only ur own? smh, if someone finds that ip, layers dont matter much. the real issue is if logs r kept, u can be tracked no matter what.

honestly, I tried dedicated IPs myself a while back thinking it'd be safer, but turns out if someone really wants to find you, they will. I remember one time I slipped up on a different anon thing, and that IP was flagged quick, no matter what layers I used. Dedicated IPs just feel like a shiny toy, unless you're running some super high-stakes stuff, but even then. logs are logs.

been doing this 13 years, dedicated IPs are ok for reputation but imo not much safer, especially if logs r kept. like I saw, if someone really wants u, they will find u no matter the IP. mostly hype for ppl who don't know the tech.

Been doing this 3 years and honestly dedicated IPs feel kinda overhyped for privacy. like yeah, less shared IP drama but if someone really wants to find u they will. plus most VPNs keep logs anyway so u ain't as anonymous as u think. feels more like a price boost than real security.

last month i messed with dedicated IPs for a bit, felt safer but then realized if someone really wants to find u, they will. kinda just hype for most cases.

lol true but if u use a service like NordVPN with obfuscated servers, ur pretty good at hiding in the crowd. still not bulletproof tho, just less obvious. u think ur really anonymous?

thanks for the input guys, yeah, layering habits is key rn. good point about no-logs policies, thats what I'd look for if going dedicated. and true, tech alone ain't enough, u gotta stay cautious regardless.
