so i tried a bunch of free VPNs thinking it'd be great for streaming and getting around geo-blocks. turns out most of them just sell your data or keep logs without telling you. used a couple for netflix, worked for a minute then constant buffering or they'd block stuff. feels like they're just after your info or making a quick buck. dont believe the hype honestly. paid vpns aren't perfect but at least they usually care about privacy. just be careful. free ones ended up costing me more in the end tbh.

ever seen how some free VPNs only give you like 500mb a day? sooo no surprise netflix is buffering or blocking, they're just trying to keep you hooked. happened to me too, spent ages trying to watch stuff and then nada. no wonder paid ones are more chill.
 
just my 2 cents: free VPNs are like that friend who promises help but always ends up costing more in the end. they cut corners on privacy, and streaming? forget it.
 
man, I did the same, thought I was slick using a free VPN for netflix. ended up with constant buffering, and my account flagged once. never again bruh, paid VPNs might cost but at least they don't sell your soul.
 
been doing this 3 years, and yeah, free VPNs are just a gamble. used to think they were okay till I got my data sold and my streams cut out mid-binge. paid ones might hurt the wallet but at least they don't sell you out or mess up your streaming. ymmv but I ain't wasting my time with freebies anymore.
 
if you want to see how shady free VPNs are, check the top 10 free ones and see how many log user data or sell it. I saw a report that says over 70% of free VPNs keep logs and sell user info to third parties. Better to go paid or use Tor if you really care about privacy.
 
80% of free VPNs have shady logging policies, but do you think there's any legit ones that don't sell user data? or are they all just slow traps?
 
Last month I tried a free VPN just to test it out and honestly it worked decent for quick stuff like browsing. I was worried about logs but the one I used claimed they didn't keep any logs or sell data. Maybe not all free VPNs are shady, just gotta do some research on the legit ones.
 
actually, a lot of free VPNs are just slow cuz they limit bandwidth or put servers far away. 2) so even if they don't sell data, ur experience might still suck. 3) sometimes they just wanna keep u hooked with crappy speeds so u buy premium. 4) not all slow VPNs are shady, but most free ones are just lazy about performance.
 
had a buddy use a free VPN for a bit and his email got spammed like crazy afterward, so yeah, I dunno if they just sell or if it's some kinda data leak. I stick to paid ones now, less sus.
 
Actually, if you wanna keep your data safe and still get decent speeds, I'd try ProtonVPN, they have a free plan that's pretty legit and don't sell your info.
 
ngl honestly, maybe some free VPNs are less evil than we think, but then again how much can you trust any of them not to log your stuff secretly?
 
ever tried ProtonVPN or Windscribe free? rn they seem kinda decent and less shady than some other free options.
 
ok so haha, free VPNs are like free buffets, mostly a trap. I tried Windscribe's free tier and honestly it wasn't terrible, no crazy logs or weird speed dips. ymmv but I'd say they're better than the shady ones that sell your data.
 
Honestly, I tried Hotspot Shield's free version for a week and man, the speeds were kinda decent and no weird logs, but I was still lowkey paranoid. Think I might stick with paid if I wanna feel safe lol.
 
Spot on. I remember back in the day I tried some free VPNs just to mess around, and I'd always get that feeling like I was handing over my data on a silver platter. Even the ones that seemed legit still had weird quirks, speed dips, or weird logging policies. Think I'll stick to the paid ones if I wanna keep things chill.
 
Are you sure all free VPNs are just data traps or is it possible some are just limited by their biz model? I mean, maybe they're not perfect but not all are out to sell your info right away. Have you checked out Proton VPN?
