Using HARO / Connectively for real authority links, does it still work?

Been experimenting with HARO and Connectively lately, trying to get legit authority links without diving into PBN or shady stuff. Started sending out pitches, really focused on niches I can be the source in, like local biz stuff or niche topics I know well. Some results, but not as fast as I expected. Data shows maybe a 20-30% response rate? But the quality of those links, holy cow, they're solid. Compared to outreach cold emails, which sometimes feel like throwing spaghetti at the wall, HARO feels more natural but slower. Anybody else playing with this? How's your ROI? Because honestly I'm wondering if it's just a long game now or if I should double down. Also, some of the outreach templates I see are so generic, not sure if that's why response rates are meh. Would love to hear real stats, not just anecdotal stuff. Lmk if you've cracked the code or just wasting time.

u think the slow pace is just how HARO is now or could it be ur pitch templates? I tried it last year and got decent links but yeah, response rates low, ROI was kinda meh long term. sometimes u gotta grind and wait for the legit stuff to stack up, fam

Careful with the idea that HARO is dead or slow only cause of templates. I've seen ppl get decent links with 10-15% response rates but it takes ages to build up. ROI can be like 2-3x if you play it right but yeah, long game for most. Think most folks just give up too quick or use lazy pitches.

u really think a 20-30% response rate is solid? sounds more like it's the norm for cold outreach nowadays. do u think that's enough to justify the long game or is it just a slow burn that might not pay off?

haha yeah, that's usually it, folks are in a rush and just toss out the same tired lines, then wonder why no one bites. patience and a little effort go a long way, but hey, who has time for that when there's more spam to send?

Haha I used to be like that, thought copy-pasting generic pitches would work everywhere. then I realized it's all about tailoring, even for HARO. once I started customizing a bit, response rate shot up from 10 to 35% in some niches. patience + real relevance beats spammy templates every time. catch ya later!

Just my 2 cents, I found HARO works way better with super niche, personalized pitches, not generic ones. Response rates might be low but the links are high quality, ymmv. I wouldn't call

had a buddy who swore by HARO, said he got like 15 solid links in a couple months from super targeted pitches, but he had to work those angles hard. lol

smh, tell me about it. i got like a 25% response rate but progress feels soooo slow. if ur not in a rush, it can be worth it but fr it's a long game. been testing different pitches, honestly gotta customize or it's dead in the water. generic stuff just gets ignored. most legit links come from real convo not spammy pitches

Thanks for the replies, guys. Yeah, I get that 10-15% is kinda typical but I was hoping HARO might be higher, idk. The templates I see are so generic, maybe that's why response rates are meh but even then, I thought the quality of links made up for it. Long game or not, gotta see ROI in a few more months I guess, lol.

Yeah, it still works if you know how to craft your pitches and build relationships. But don't expect miracles just by submitting a bunch of requests and hoping for the best. Quality over quantity, always.

80% of success with HARO is in how you pitch, fam. Make it personal, show you've done your homework, and you'll see better links. Don't spam and hope, imo. lol

Different angle: I once scored a legit link from a small niche site just by referencing a recent article they published and adding a quick opinion, no fancy pitch needed. Sometimes a simple, relevant hook beats all the hype.

just my 2 cents: using HARO or Connectively isn't magic, imo. the real question is how you stand out in your pitches, not the platform. does it still work?

Last month I shot a cold email to a tiny blog, just saying I'd write a quick piece about their niche, and bam, got a link. Sometimes just being real and not overthinking the pitch beats the platform itself.

Using HARO / Connectively for real authority links, does it still work? My take is: it's less about the platform and more about your angle. Like, how you frame your pitch or email. Anyone seen a big difference in success rate lately?
