Sneaker bot proxies - lost $2k on drops, what providers work now?

I just got cooked on the last few releases and I'm pretty sure my proxies were a big part of it. I was running with a mix of some datacenter IPs from a budget provider and residentials from a reseller I found on another forum, total cost for the month was around $450 between them. The datacenters were getting insta-filtered after like 10 requests during high traffic periods, completely useless. The residentials had better success rates but still ended up with maybe 15% checkout success across my tasks when things got heavy. Burned about two grand in pre-auths that never went through. What's the actual setup people are using now? I see all these proxy sites advertising 'sneaker optimized' networks but the pricing is all over the place, like $30 per GB from one place and then $5 per GB from another for supposedly similar geo-targeting. Are you guys just biting the bullet and paying for premium ISP proxies or are certain residential pools still holding up? Need real numbers on bandwidth usage per task and ban rates during peak drop windows. My current bot setup is solid so I know it's not that. Just trying to figure out if there's a provider that consistently delivers sub-second response times without getting flagged as soon as footsites or shopify firewalls ramp up. Seen some talk about mobile proxies being more resilient but the costs seem astronomical for the data limits.

nah, don't buy into the hype that premium ISP proxies are the magic fix rn. I've had decent luck with rotating residentials that are on a tight pool, keep the IPs fresh and avoid the "spammy" ones that get flagged quick. Also, using a proxy manager that can throttle requests or mimic human behavior helps drop the ban rate, even during peak chaos.

bruh, that's facts. I've seen some guys run throttle scripts and get way fewer bans, especially on Shopify. sometimes just blending in with legit traffic and pacing requests keeps ya safer.

lol, man, you're out here throwing $2k at what? hoping the proxy fairy will wave a wand? honestly if you wanna cut costs and still not get cooked, you gotta get creative. mobile proxies? yeah, they can be better if you got the right setup but they're like investing in a yacht when you're still figuring out the boat. traffic pacing, request throttling, or even just switching up your user agents sometimes it's all about the small stuff that keeps you under the radar, not just throwing cash at "premium" proxies. question is, are you ready to get your hands dirty with some custom configs or just keep chasing that shiny new provider?

careful with thinking premium proxies are the only solution, sometimes the small stuff like user agents and pacing really makes the difference, imo. too many guys chase the high-end stuff without fixing the basics first.

Honestly I found that sometimes premium ISP proxies get flagged faster cause they look too obvious, so switching to smaller residential pools with good rotation can actually give you more longevity during drops and lower ban rates. Sometimes paying for massive bandwidth just means more noise and getting caught quicker. It's all about testing and finding that sweet spot between speed, stealth, and cost

Around 15% success sounds about right for heavy traffic, but I'd focus on traffic pacing and user agent randomization over just proxies. Sometimes good rotation with residentials can give longer longevity even if they cost a bit more. Been experimenting with mobile proxies too, but yeah, they ain't cheap.

ngl most of the time, mobile proxies actually hold up better during those traffic spikes, kinda weird but true. Try a mobile proxy service like ProxyRack Mobile Proxies, they got decent speeds and tend to get less flagged. Just watch your bandwidth, they ain't cheap.

just my 2 cents: residentials still decent if you got good pools and rotate fast, like 100+ per minute if possible, but they eat bandwidth quick so expect to burn through 1-2 GB per task on heavy drops and ban rates can hit 10-15% if you're not pacing right or using static proxies for Shopify and Foot

bruh, I feel you. how are you even calculating your bandwidth per task? are you tracking your cpm and request count or just eyeballing it?

Appreciate the input, guys and yeah I'm not trying to chase some premium ISP proxy magic anymore I think blending rotating residentials and pacing requests sounds like the move ymmv but I'll try to get more creative with mobile proxies maybe start testing those out instead of just dropping cash on more expensive options. The throttle script tip is interesting too I'll look into that more since the bans on Shopify really hit hard lately. Thanks again for the ideas I'll keep experimenting and see what sticks

what kinda proxies you used? like datacenter or residential? kinda curious if that changes anything now.

Careful with assuming all proxies still work the same. Things change quick in this game. Residentials used to be gold but now some get flagged fast. Might wanna test smaller drops first or look into newer providers. ymmv lol

Been doing this 3 years, and honestly, proxies are a mess lately. Used to rely on residentials but saw like 50% fail rate now, datacenter still kinda working if you pick right provider. Numbers matter, small test runs like 5-10 proxies before dumping big. No magic, just always testing and switching quick

Been doing this 3 years, and yeah proxies are a mess lately. Residentials get flagged quick and datacenter options are hit or miss. Test small first and stay flexible, ymmv.

Different angle: I actually found that sticking with one trusted provider long-term can be better, less guessing. Small tests are good but sometimes just riding with what works and scaling up is smarter, ymmv.

man last month I tried Seize Pro for proxies and honestly it's the only thing that's been consistent for me lately. Their residentials aren't cheap but they rarely fail, and the support is solid. Maybe worth giving a shot if you're tired of wasting cash.

3 years and still gettin burned, wow. proxies feel like a game of whack-a-mole now, never sure which will hold up. been trying different providers but still struggle sometimes. u found anything that really works long-term?

been doing this 3 years and found that sticking to 2-3 reliable providers and testing their residential proxies at least once a month saved me from wasting thousands. small tests are fine but focusing on consistent providers with a proven track
