just checked my Taboola account from like 4 years ago, was running a weight loss SOI offer, cpc was like 12 cents, CR steady at 4.5-5 percent. Profit margins were crazy. Now? Same geo, similar landing page, cpc is like 35 cents, conversion rate maybe 1.8 percent on a good day. Feels like they just turned up the price and called it optimization. My account manager there just sends the same "new ai placement" email every quarter. Not saying it's dead but definitely not the same. The inventory feels more saturated, the clicks feel lower quality too I dunno. I threw some budget into MGID as a test and honestly the numbers were kinda similar for lower cpc but the UI is such a pain to use. It's all just nostalgia for when native felt like a kinda hidden goldmine. Anyone else running native these days actually making decent ROAS? Or are we just kinda funding their "content discovery" R&D? Numbers don't lie but they do get worse over time. Catch ya on the algorithm

just my 2 cents, I kinda remember when I first tried native a few months ago and thought I hit a jackpot, but it kinda felt the same, saturated and not as cheap as before. ran some quick tests on Outbrain and they had similar issues, same kinda feeling like they're just riding the wave. honestly, feels like everyone's chasing the same limited inventory now, makes me wonder if there's still some hidden corners left or just throwing money at the same old stuff lol

Careful with native man, it's a beast that changes quick. I've been using AdCreative.ai for quick fresh creatives and it's saved me a lot of the headache, especially with the quality drops. w/o good creatives, you're kinda dead in the water anyway.

35 cents cpc and 1.8 percent CR not exactly a winning combo anymore, smh. gotta wonder if native's just flooded now or if the quality's really tanked. old days felt more like a hidden gem before they flipped the switch.

Thanks for the input guys, yeah native ads definitely feel more saturated and pricier. I might check out that AdCreative.ai tip, always looking for ways to keep creatives fresh without wasting too much time. As for native being a hidden gem, it's like a shadow of what it used to be, but still can hit if you find the right angles. Anyone else still cracking decent wins in native or just riding the decline? Catch you later.

yep exactly, my experience is totally different tho, i barely see good results anymore lol. maybe i got unlucky or somethin but yeah, not worth it for me.

I gotta disagree, I still get decent convs from Taboola if I keep testing creatives and targeting right. It's not dead yet, just gotta work smarter.

I don't think it's about working smarter anymore, more like just not wasting your budget on the crap. if the results ain't there, no amount of smarter tactics gonna fix that. ymmv but seems like the ROI has tanked for most

You think it's still worth it? Try focusing on niche targeting and long-tail creatives, that might squeeze more out of it. Sometimes fresh angles beat the usual broad targeting, bruh.

That line got me reminiscing, but I remember a campaign last year that actually pulled decent rev with some tweaks, like narrowing down the audience and testing new creatives constantly. Smh how fast things change in this space.

Last month I tried using AdCreative.ai for fresh creatives on Taboola, and it actually helped improve CTRs a bit, think it's worth giving a shot if you wanna test new angles quick.

Most of the time it's just about keeping the creatives fresh and testing new angles, not throwing more budget at it. If your CTR or engagement isn't rising, what's the point?

Over 60% of campaigns tank cuz ppl keep throwing more money without adjusting creatives. CTR drops, ROI dips and then they wonder why. If your engagement's stale, no amount of budget will fix that

bruh, I dunno, sometimes more budget helps push through the fatigue if you also tweak the targeting or creatives, not just throw money at it.

did you notice how many campaigns tank after just 2 weeks of increased spend? like, over 70% of folks keep doing that without changing creatives or targeting and wonder why ROI drops. sometimes a small bump helps but only if you tweak the actual ad stuff, not just pour more cash.

ok so if you want to get more out of Taboola, focus on scaling in small chunks and keep a close eye on CTR and conversion rates. I've seen campaigns that lose 30% ROI after a 20% spend increase without fresh creatives or targeting tweaks. Small, steady adjustments are way more effective than just throwing more money at a dead campaign.
