VPN for Netflix - which ones actually work without buffering?

ok so i was messing around with some VPNs to try and watch Netflix w/o lag and all those annoying blocks. did a few tests, here's the deal. ExpressVPN was solid for me like 50-60 mbps on US UK Canada servers, 4K worked fine no stuttering. NordVPN was pretty close, 45-55 usually but some servers kinda sucked for HD. Surfshark? total hit or miss - sometimes got 20-30 mbps so buffering happened a lot lol. tried a couple free ones too and man they were so bad i just quit. honestly it feels like the server location and how busy it is matters more than just the brand. also protocols make a difference, I used OpenVPN and WireGuard and wireguard was way faster most of the time. what about you guys? which vpn actually works for netflix without being a huge pain

bruh, you think any vpn really works perfectly without buffering? lol, they all hit or miss, depends on server load, location, and sometimes luck.

different angle: maybe the real trick isn't just VPN choice but also how you tweak settings, like disabling IPv6 or switching protocols, which can make a difference in buffering and speed.

wanna try split tunneling? sometimes it helps Netflix run smooth on one connection while the rest of your net stays normal. different VPNs and setups can actually work pretty well if you tweak enough

different angle: I used to swear by Nord until I realized my VPN was choking on a busy server, so I switched to a less popular one and bam, no more buffering on Netflix. you ever just pick a random server and hope for the best? has worked for me more than once.

Yeah man, it's all about trial and error. I've had to switch servers, change protocols, even mess with DNS settings to get that smooth stream. sometimes just picking a less crowded server makes all the difference, no joke.

been doing this 3 years and split tunneling is a for netflix buffer issues but you gotta make sure your DNS is also pointing somewhere decent or the VPN might still choke on the geo blocks. you ever tried setting up a custom DNS with it? ymmv but it can help keep your main net free for other stuff while netflix runs smooth.

careful with just switching servers or protocols, sometimes the issue is with your isp or local network congestion, not the VPN itself. tried different things but still get stuttering sometimes even on solid VPNs. you ever checked your internet speed outside vpn to compare?

thanks for the tips guys, yeah i figured it's all about the setup and timing. disabling IPv6 might help, will try that next time. protocol tweaks definitely seem to matter, wireguard is a. lol, it's like a constant quest but maybe one day we find the perfect combo. stay tuned! peace out

different angle: maybe it's not just about the VPN, but also your connection speed and server location. gotta find a combo that's fast enough and close enough. ngl, some VPNs just block Netflix more than others.

I gotta disagree, I've found some VPNs that work just fine with Netflix and don't buffer at all, no matter the location. It's not always about server speed or proximity, sometimes it's about the VPN's ability to actually unblock Netflix reliably

disagree, ngl. I've been using windscribe and it works smooth with Netflix no buffering, even in different countries. think it's more about the VPN's obfuscation tech and servers than just speed or proximity.

bruh, I got 4 VPNs that work smooth with Netflix in 2023, no buffer for 95% of my streams. NordVPN, Surfshark, ExpressVPN, and ProtonVPN all pull around 100-150 Mbps on average with fast servers in US, UK, and Japan. if u pick the right server, u won't have buffering issues, especially if u stick to 5-10 Mbps streams.

careful with Windscribe tho, some servers still get detected and blocked, so it ain't always smooth. fr, gotta test different servers constantly

Disagree, Windscribe isn't always the smoothest for Netflix anymore. I've had issues with some US servers getting detected and blocked pretty often. If you want consistent streams w/o buffering, NordVPN and Surfshark tend to hold steady around 200-250 Mbps in my tests, which is usually enough for 4K. ProtonVPN's stealth servers also work well but can dip below 100 Mbps on some connections. Buffering is mostly about server choice and location, not just VPN brand.

Yeah, that's the pain, US servers get sniffed out fast if you use the same ones. gotta switch around, find the less obvious ones, or you'll be stuck buffering or getting blocked.

exactly, no matter the VPN, Netflix keeps gettin smarter. you gotta keep testing, switching servers, or sometimes even VPNs. it's kinda annoying but that's how it is now

careful with US servers, they do get blocked fast. but sometimes switching to less obvious ones works, just gotta keep trying different ones. VPNs aren't perfect but u can usually find ones that work for a while.

Actually, I've found that some VPNs like ExpressVPN still manage to unblock Netflix US pretty consistently if you switch to their newer servers or use the obfuscated ones. U gotta stay updated and sometimes switch to servers in other countries if US gets too hot.
