Used geo proxies for a german offer and got rekt - how?

so i just spent like 200 bucks on geo-targeted residential proxies for this german offer right. got my landing page all set up with german text, looked perfect. was using this provider that says they got 99 percent uptime and clean ips in germany. ran the campaign for two days, nada no conversions. not even a legit click. started digging and found out all my proxy sessions were getting flagged by the ad network. like the ips were from germany but they were from some weird ASN or the subnets got flagged for spam. how the hell is that even possible with 'clean' resi ips? im so lost now. was i supposed to get mobile proxies instead? or mix in some datacenter ones? and does the city matter or just the country? feels like everyone selling these proxies just slaps a country tag on it and calls it geo-targeted. anyone else had this problem or know how to actually check the quality before wasting cash?

Just my 2 cents, if you wanna check proxy quality before wasting cash, run a quick reverse DNS lookup and check the ASN info. If the ASN looks shady or weird, avoid it. Also, look for proxies with city-level targeting, not just country tags, to make sure you're hitting the right geo.

Bruh, this sounds like classic bait and switch. proxies labeled as "clean" but really they're just recycled spam IPs in disguise. u gotta dig deeper than what they tell u, maybe check ASN info and reverse DNS, but honestly, if it smells fishy, it probably is. mobile proxies might be safer but they ain't cheap. city matters less than the ASN and subnet quality tho.

honestly did you check ASN info and reverse DNS before buying? That might tell you if the proxies are legit or just spam IPs in disguise.

last month I tried similar proxies for a German offer and got nothing. I learned the hard way that even "clean" IPs can be flagged if they come from shady ASN pools or shared hosting. Sometimes city or ASN info actually matters more than just the country tag. ymmv but I'd never trust a proxy just based on their claim of "clean" w/o doing some due diligence first

bruh, lol, i tried similar stuff once with proxies from a provider claiming "premium" in germany and got flagged instantly too. like sometimes they just slap a country tag on random IPs and call it geo. trust me, not all "clean" ips are legit, seen it myself.

last month i tried some so-called premium german proxies too and got flagged just like that. but honestly, from my experience, the city kinda does matter more than just country. if they slap a country tag but use subnets from bad ASN pools or shared hosting, you still get flagged. so i think mixing mobile or datacenter proxies with legit residentials might actually help more than just trusting the country tag

Yep exactly, but you might wanna check if your proxies were actually geo-targeted right. Sometimes ppl get lazy and just buy cheap proxies that aren't real locals, so the offer can still detect the real IP. Or maybe your tracking or cookies flagged something?

Haha maybe your proxies were just pretending to be locals lol, gotta check if they really match the country or just look the part.

just my 2 cents: 1) check if your proxies are actually local IPs, not just regional ones, 2) some offers have anti-proxy detection that's smarter than most think, 3) legit local proxies (like real ISP ones) usually cost more but are way safer. always verify your proxies' IPs match the target country exactly.

make sure your proxies are from legit ISPs or data centers in germany, not just some random regional IPs that could be flagged easily. Also, consider the user-agent and browser fingerprinting detection. If they match real local behavior, the offer's anti-fraud stuff might overlook them but if not, you're toast. Don't forget, some anti-proxy systems are clever as hell.

I think people sleep on how easy it is to get detected if your proxies are just a cheap setup or shared ones. Like I once used some cheap proxies and got flagged instantly, then I switched to legit residential ones from a provider that owns real IPs in Germany and boom, much better. Never underestimate the power of legit IPs, even if they cost more.

Last month i used cheap proxies for a German offer and got rekt in like 3 hours, switched to legit ISP ones and stayed under the radar for days.

Careful with assuming all proxies are equal, fam. I had legit proxies from good providers and still got rekt cause of bad user-agents and fingerprinting. different setups hit different, lol.
