ok so follow up from my old thread - i tried that python script for rotating residentials. everyone here says rotating is better than static for scraping but honestly after testing, im not fully convinced. like the bans are just slower not gone. used a popular provider, script logs in fresh session each time thru a new ip, random delays, real browser headers via requests lib. still got soft-blocked after like 2k requests on a basic ecom site. maybe its just that site but i feel like the whole 'rotate = safe' thing is overhyped. if the site checks fingerprint or behavior patterns ur ip pool wont matter. i can share the code snippet later but basically it pulls ips from an api endpoint and cycles them via requests.Session adapter. still hits blocks. i wanna hear if anyone else runs into this? maybe my cr sucks cuz im missing some other signal they track. or do u think datacenter proxies with better anti-detect setup would actually outperform cheap rotating resis? been seeing some wild debates lately.
 
last month i was hitting the same wall with residentials, bans slow but still happen. it's def a fingerprint or behavior thing not just ip rotation. datacenter proxies with anti-detect tools usually outperform cheap resis if u know what ur doing, but even then u gotta mix signals and mimic real user patterns. no magic, just more layers lol
 
Haha, maybe your scrapers just too good at mimicking humans, they get suspicious. all this proxy game is like whack-a-mole, u gotta keep mixing signals. datacenter proxies with some anti
 
yeah exactly, u gotta keep switching up stuff, not just proxies but also user agents, headers, timing. i used this anti-detect bot called x-raid for a bit, it helps kinda hide your fingerprint. but still not foolproof, site can catch patterns if ur not careful.
 
Bruh, anti-detect tools like x-raid are a band-aid at best, they buy you some time but not foolproof. site fingerprinting tech is getting smarter, if u not masking behavior patterns and device signals on top of proxies u still gonna get hit. dont think a tool alone makes u invisible, u gotta mix signals and stay unpredictable
 
spot on, sites are catching onto proxies and fingerprint stuff more than ever. u gotta go beyond just rotating IPs and tweak behavior signals too.
 
Try switching up your user agents and adding some randomness in your request timings, I once watched a buddy get a site to block him even with fresh proxies just 'cause he kept using the same headers. Proxies are just part of the game, but the fingerprinting tech is getting savage, so more than just rotating IPs is needed.
 
just my 2 cents, if you really wanna beat fingerprinting, check out Luminati's Residential Proxies with their anti-detect addon. they've got some legit fingerprint masking tools that might help you stay under the radar longer. ymmv tho, but it's better than cheap rotating resis imo.
 
Yep exactly, proxies alone won't cut it if they're all getting fingerprinted the same way, like 2k requests on a single site is kinda light if they're really tracking behavior patterns, not just IPs
 
your script logs in fresh session each time thru a new ip, but are you also clearing cookies and fingerprint data or just relying on ip rotation? site might be tracking other signals besides ip, so rotating proxies alone won't cut it. datacenter proxies with better anti-detect tools could outperform cheap residentials if they hide more signals.
 
Last month i tried rotating residentials with a popular provider, same deal, soft blocks after a couple thousand requests. I wonder if switching to something like Oxylabs' residential proxies with their anti-detect tool might help, since they seem to do a better job at fingerprint masking. Has anyone tried those? Do they really make a difference in avoiding detection?
 
Always test your proxies first, rn I've seen folks assume stuff works without real checks. One guy thought his proxies were fine, turns out most were dead or slow. Just saying, gotta verify before jumping into the next step

kinda funny how folks think once they got the proxies working, they good forever. but now u got a new issue, huh? what's the new problem? speed, bans, or somethin else?
 
yeah fam, proxy rotation is a pain sometimes, especially with IP bans or slow speeds. I've been there, had to switch up the pool size or add random delays to dodge detection. What's the new question tho?
