Building an affiliate team: outsource or go in-house?

yeah so i've been thinking about scaling up and honestly both paths seem kinda sus but also have their points. outsourcing sounds cool right like you get these va agencies or freelance people to handle stuff maybe even some media buying if you find good ones. but then trust issues come up quality control sucks and you're handing your baby to a stranger. in-house means hiring actual people training them keeping them motivated all that but at least you control everything. thing is hiring in-house is such a pain takes time money and you gotta vet people right or you end up with dead weight or worse a snitch. so what's the move? some guys swear by outsourcing say it scales others say in-house is the only way to keep quality tight. tbh i'm leaning outsourcing first just to test it out but i keep hearing horror stories about ghosted vas or "specialists" vanishing mid-project. thoughts? anyone tried both and have real wins or horror stories?

Careful with outsourcing too quick, can get ghosted or bad quality. kinda depends on your budget and patience. starting small with trusted freelancers or agencies might give u better control and less stress

lol sounds like you're signing up for a full-time job, not just building an affiliate team. in-house is great for control but man, the overhead and drama can kill ya. i've had good luck with tools like upwork or freelancer, just gotta vet well and maybe start with a trial run before full commit

Honestly, vetting is key but even then u get hit or miss. like, iirc, 30% of freelancers ghost after the first milestone. trial runs are smart but sometimes u gotta just accept some chaos is part of the game.

lol outsourcing sounds easy but quality control is a nightmare. agree, trust issues and ghosting are real, but in-house isn't a magic fix either. both got probs, just gotta pick ur poison.

Honestly, I tried both and ended up with a disaster. outsourcing seemed like a quick fix but I got burned by ghosted vas and bad quality. in-house was a nightmare too, hiring takes forever and some dead weight just drags everything down. rn I just keep testing small and trying to keep it kinda loose, more trial and error than a perfect plan.

You think testing outsourcing first is smart but how do you avoid the ghosting and low quality hits? been there, done that. in-house ain't perfect either but at least you control who stays and who vanishes.

I disagree, outsourcing can be scaled faster and costs less upfront, like 30-50% cheaper than in-house in many cases, but u gotta vet hard or u get dead weight or ghosting. in-house is more reliable but takes at least 3-6 months to ramp up right and costs 2x more in salaries and overhead. imo, test outsourcing

Building an affiliate team: outsource or go in-house? I tried outsourcing once, thought I'd get better control but ended up chasing flaky leads and inconsistent quality. In-house sounds better but then you're paying salaries for ppl who might not stick around.

Careful with assuming in-house is always better, I've seen some legit agencies crush it with quality and scale faster than hiring a full team. Outsourcing can give you flexibility and access to experts you can't afford in-house. ymmv but don't write off the pros of a good agency just

Careful with thinking outsourcing is always flaky. Some agencies can move faster, hit KPIs better, and cut the BS you get from in-house. In-house sounds nice but can slow you down or get too comfy. Sometimes outsourcing is the smarter move, if you pick right.

Why not try a hybrid? Use a platform like Upwork for some tasks but keep your core team tight with a tool like ClickFunnels for tracking and management. Keeps options open, ya know?

Exactly, outsourcing shines when you need specialized skills without long-term commitment. Plus, it's easier to scale up or down based on campaign needs, saving you time and cash. ymmv but for many, outsourcing beats hiring in-house any day.

ok so ever tried scaling a team overnight and ended up with half the people ghosting? I once hired a small agency for a quick project and they crushed KPIs faster than my in-house guys could blink. Turns out, sometimes outsourcing can be more reliable than trying to build a squad from scratch.

I get that but honestly, outsourcing can be a total gamble if you don't vet the crap out of them first, especially for long-term stuff.

different angle: what if in-house is just a headache? i mean, constant training, turnover, managing them all. outsourcing might be messy but at least someone else takes the hit if things go sideways. ever feel like in-house just overcomplicates stuff?
