Residential proxy costs are a joke right now

ugh im so close to just yeeting my monitor over this proxy price stuff. trying to figure out residential proxy costs is impossible like every company has some new rate and it never adds up. one day its $1 per GB then suddenly its $5 then they hit you with tiered plans that make zero sense. for what even? scraping? anti-detect? feels like a total scam when the bill comes. tbh the quality is all over too so idk if im actually getting my moneys worth. just feels like cash into a void. anyone have a real explanation that isnt sus? or is this just how it is now? lowkey thinking of switching to datacenter or mobile proxies at least the price is clear.

ok so i think you might be overreacting, bruh. Prices vary, yeah, but maybe shop around more. Not all proxies are sus, just gotta find legit ones.

Been down that road myself, man. I remember I was chasing the cheapest residentials and got burned with crappy quality and insane bills. switched to a mid-tier provider and it's way more predictable, even if the price is higher. sometimes you gotta pay more for legit quality or end up chasing ghosts.

yeah, that tiered plan stuff is prettyyy sus, but some companies do it to keep things flexible and cover costs for legit residentials that cost more. it's frustrating but maybe there's a legit provider that explains their rates better instead of just jacking prices outta nowhere.

bruh, I remember spending hours chasing cheap residentials and getting hit with the same bs bills and crappy quality, ended up switching to a mid-tier and everything got way more predictable. Sometimes it's just how the game is played.

just my 2 cents, but maybe some of the tiered plans are just a way for legit providers to keep things sustainable? feels shady but could be a reason behind the chaos. still sucks tho.

if u wanna cut through the BS, try looking into providers that are transparent about their pricing and quality upfront, even if it means paying a bit more. some legit ones will actually tell u what u get for the rate, no tiered plans that change every week. also, switching to mobile proxies can be a pain but they tend to have more predictable costs and decent quality if u pick the right provider.

Haha yeah proxy pricing feels like a lotto rn. rn I'd check out Oxylabs, they got transparent plans and decent quality if u wanna skip the guessing game.

careful with that tho, sometimes tiered plans are just a way to milk more cash from ya. legit or not, prices jump around like crazy. i saw some providers go from 1.5c to 4c per GB in a matter of weeks.

yep totally agree. proxies pricing atm is just a mess, feels like they just keep changing plans to confuse everyone. switched to datacenter for now, clearer prices but not always as reliable for scraping.

Most of these proxy prices are just hype, ngl. I'd suggest hitting up some lesser-known providers that don't play the tiered plan game, like ProxyRack or Blazing SEO, they sometimes have flat rates around 2-3c per GB for residentials and less dodgy quality. It's all about digging through the noise, cause the big guys are just experimenting with crazy prices rn.

Bruh, I know right, they just keep climbing and it's hard to keep ROI sane. Gotta find new sources or just accept the pain rn.

Switch to rotating data centers if you can, they're way cheaper and still kinda work for testing. I saw costs go from like 1-2 bucks a GB last year to 4-5 now, so yeah smh. Gotta find cheaper pools or maybe buy in bulk if you're serious.

bruh, lol, I had a different experience tho, costs barely moved for me last year, still decent. Maybe it's about where you source from or the supplier, I found some hidden cheaper pools. Never hurt to shop around more.

disagree, I actually saw prices stay pretty steady last few months if you pick the right provider. my tip is to shop around and lock in long-term deals, sometimes they give discounts for bigger blocks. not all proxies are sky-high yet, just gotta be selective.

man i kinda disagree, I remember last year prices shot up for a bit then went back down. Maybe it's just luck or specific providers? I wouldn't say they're a joke overall, just swings sometimes.

Haha, yeah I feel you, it's like trying to catch a unicorn sometimes but I gotta say I saw a few good deals last month if you dig deep enough, maybe it's just about patience or the right contacts ymmv

Over 200% spike in just 6 months, so yeah I get why folks say they're a joke. But honestly, if you hunt around there are still decent deals, just gotta know where to look and not get played.

You mean the costs are a joke now but last year they shot up crazy high and then settled? I remember when they spiked over 200% in a short time, made it tough to keep rev stable.

I don't think they're a joke just yet, but yeah prices are way up. I remember when I paid half of what I do now, but it's still manageable if you buy in bulk or find a reliable provider. YMMV though, some regions still pricey as hell.
