Native ads like Taboola & Outbrain, are they really worth it?

Been hearing a lot about native ad platforms like Taboola and Outbrain lately and honestly I'm sus. Everyone's hyping them as this golden ticket for affiliate traffic but I'm skeptical. The ctrs are always low, and I keep running into weird payout issues or minimums I can't hit. Plus, I see some folks claiming huge wins but mostly it feels like they're just throwing money at the wall. Is it just me or are native ads kinda overrated in this space? Anyone actually making decent money with them or is it just another shiny object?

Careful with native ads, they can eat your budget quick if you don't optimize, I tried them and got meh results too but some folks do make decent cash if they really dial in targeting and creatives.

I think they can work if you ignore the hype and treat them like a testing playground. Keep your bids low, only test high-quality content, and don't expect miracles overnight. Most who do well aren't throwing money at them, they're tweaking constantly.

low bids can help with ROI but don't forget the targeting needs to be spot on or u just wasting impressions. even with good content, if ur audience isn't right, CTR stays sus and payouts suffer. sometimes u gotta swing higher bids just to find the sweet spot.

i ran some native ads last year, thought they'd be a quick win but my ctr was meh and cpm was high. I ended up wasting a chunk of budget and saw pretty much no ROI. Sometimes it's just not worth it if your ux or offer isn't tight.

spot on. ive tried native ads a couple times and honestly, they can be a pain. sometimes they work, but most of the time my ctrs are low and cpm is sky high. unless ur got a super targeted offer or niche, i'd say they're just a gamble. better off spending that budget on more proven channels.

yep exactly, but do you think it's just the offers or maybe the targeting that messes with ROI? like maybe it works if u get it right but how often do ppl actually nail that?

spot on. ive tried native a few times and honestly its hit or miss. most of the time ctrs are meh and cpm's way too high to make it worth it lol.

Yeah, I'd agree. I've seen way better ROI from social and email than native. Native just feels like throwing spaghetti at the wall sometimes, ymmv.

I tried native a while back and had some decent wins, but only when I managed to find that sweet spot with the landing pages and ad placements. sometimes it's not about the offer or targeting, but just luck with the setup.

Careful with native, it's really just luck sometimes. I've had campaigns tank even when I thought I nailed the targeting, other times it's a small tweak and boom, decent ROI. Not reliable enough for consistent profits imo.

spot on. native ads are kinda like gambling sometimes, hit or miss, and mostly luck. when they work, they work, but when they tank, it's frustrating. not worth relying on 100% unless ur got a super tight game plan.

Careful with assuming native ads are the holy grail, they can be hit or miss depending on your niche and targeting. They're worth a shot if you can get good CTRs and keep your cpc low but don't expect instant riches. Always test and optimize before dumping a lot of budget into them.

Nah I think they're sus most of the time unless you got legit good offers and targeting dialed in. Can be a waste if your niche isn't a fit or your creatives suck. Don't bet the farm on

ok so bruh, you ever notice how native ads sometimes feel like throwing spaghetti at the wall? Are you really betting on them for scalable profits or just messing around hoping they hit?

Ever try split testing your headlines in native ads? Sometimes a tiny tweak can turn those spaghetti shots into a direct hit or miss.

Haha yeah, but honestly sometimes you gotta bet a lil if you wanna win big. Sure, native can be sketchy, but if you got the right offer and some patience, it can surprise ya. No risk, no reward, right?

been doing this 3 years, and honestly native ads can be hit or miss but when they hit they hit hard. i once had a campaign that was dead in the water until i tweaked the headline slightly, and boom, conversions skyrocketed. so yeah, they're worth it if you're ready to mess around and optimize constantly.

Haha, totally, small tweaks can be the difference between a flop and a flush. I swear I spent a whole day messing with headlines and images, and suddenly the CTR shot up. Ymmv but sometimes it's just about finding that one combo that clicks.

yo i kinda disagree, it's more like chasing that one thing that clicks feels like luck sometimes. I've spent days tweaking stuff and still came up empty, so it's more trial and error than a sure shot.
